The next showcased animal is Rebekah Redfoot, a delightful large middle-aged Redfooted tortoise. As a favorite hobby she likes stretching out and relaxing on the floor in a sunny window.

Warm baths are of course another favorite.

She’s not a gregarious tortoise that likes to get into, on and through everything.  She likes lazy, quiet times.

However, like many animals she perks right up when you eat an orange, apple or about any fruit.

Rebekah would be a wonderful pet for a slower paced family.

If interested in adopting Rebekah into your family please PM your info and picture of an enclosure.

Along with us there will be a lot of other fine vendors with a all captive bred animals.

As always we'll have our fine selection of other animals along with the perfect "family friendly" pet snakes, assorted plushies and our hand made animal and wild animal jewelry!

At this expo I’ll be bringing some antique solid silver animal necklaces.

This is Stretch the Python. (Actually I was going to name him Varoom but didn’t think he’d get adopted with that name. Lol) Had him for a very long time and he is such a nice snake and deserves an equally nice quiet retirement home.

He's 10+ ft of gorgeous White Phase Albino Tiger Retic. He's not or ever will be a large python which is good for housing and feeding. Like any retic he’s a mover and always on the go.

As with many snakes he can be cage sensitive but after out is easy to handle just fast

He's easy to feed on either f/t x-l rats or chicken hind quarters from the grocery store.

If interested in adopting Stretch into your family please PM ONLY with pictures of your reptiles plus your experience with larger snakes along with pictures of an appropriate enclosure.

Also, please check your local exotic animal laws, if your renting need written approval from the owner or manager.

As always we'll have our fine selection of other animals along with the perfect "family friendly" pet snakes!

Quasimoto the Dragon likes to sit in the window for the heat & check out the birds.
For some reason he's unimpressed with all that fluffy white stuff out there.
He really seems entertained with all the birds feeding in the window boxes. Such is the exciting life of an old man dragon. 🕊🐦🐧🦅🦉🌻

Well darn. At least all the critters are warm and toasty but Winter's 2nd big wave of snow hit yesterday & last night. Much worse this time than 2 weeks ago. This is a much heavier wet snow so lots of damage and broken limbs down.
Worried about tree limbs that hang over the side of the house coming down on the roof.
Like I've said before I prefer winter in small doses over the whole Winter NOT dumped on in big doses.

Yes folks, you are reading that gauge correctly at -12 degrees and it isn't even 11:30 yet.
The locals say it hasn't been this cold or as much snow in over 30+ years. Wonderful!!! 🤔
I'm considering, packing up the kids, trading in my snowsuit for shorts and top and heading to the equator.
OMGosh it just dropped to -13 while writing this!!!🥶😯😲🌻

8:30 chilly morning update. It crystallized the air around things last night which is quite pretty.
Looks like one of the Easter bunnies is out for endurance training. 🌨☃️❤️🌻

Sadly the realization that the overdue Winter has finally arrived with a vengeance. I prefer my winter's spread out with a bit of snow and cold here and there. Nooooo, this year Mother Nature and Father Time have been on an extended vacation. To which they realized their error and dumped Winter on us the past few days.
Had 18 inches of snow so couldn't get out of the driveway along with single digit temps. Tonight was only supposed to get to 3 degrees weeeeell, it's not even midnight and down to -5 and getting lower.
Thankfully, all's good but when you have critters that need to be kept warm it's nerve racking making sure the heat, electricity doesn't go out, water doesn't freeze pipes, etc.
It's going to be a loooong night.

Definitely had a snowpocalypse overnight and literally snowed in. Landscape pictures are indeed gorgeous but here's pictures of some of our feathered friends chalet's which are occupied throughout the Winter.
There are more but these are just the one's I could get pictures of through the windows. 🐦🌨☃️🌻

Here sits one lone male Quail at the window seed bowl. I'm thinking he's hinting using the sympathy factor. 🐦❤️🌨🌻

How about a sexy Sunday to start off the week.
This is lovely Lady Pearl, my Gila Monster which isn't very monsterous at all, showing off her sexiest back leg. Ooo la la!
It looks small but it's her favorite bowl as she likes to curl up like she's in a cave relaxing.
Have a great week everyone.🌻

Here's a wonderful New Year's update on the 2 Christmas rescues. I'm just stumped how such a well cared for beautiful iguana in every way ended up abandoned and in rescue???
Seems to be tame, easy to pick up, doesn't even try to bite, etc.
He's visually stunning with a full tail, perfect spines, claws trimmed and that gorgeous orange all over.
Don't do programs any more but he would have been perfect for Educational Outreach Programs. Besides, finding a tame iguana is rare.
He's eating everything put in so look at that adorable plump belly.
Even the juvenile beardie is eating great and doing well with the typical snooty beardie attitude. 😂
If things progress both will be available at the January Portland Metro Reptile Expo. @ followers

Our Story

Based out of Oregon, USA, International Reptile Rescue/Hart’s Reptile World is the oldest reptile rescue in North America. We've made a name for ourselves by being willing to work with rescued crocodilians and venomous snakes that few other rescues are trained to safely and humanely work with, and also by providing some of the most entertaining, memorable, and educational presentations out there. We are deeply committed to the humane and ethical treatment of reptiles through rescue work, rehabilitation, adoptions, education and public presentations.
