It’s been 3 years since life around here changed. I hate that we lost so many of our animals that day but we have been able to build the barn back better. I still think about the events that happened that day. It was so scary. I’m thankful my family and home were safe.

I took the kids to school this morning to return to a goat out. Blaze was standing guard. He wouldn’t let her move! Skills that he has been working on for a few months now, he put to the test this morning! He is the most amazing dog! He even put her back in the pasture with some guidance!

Finally a break in the rain! we worked in the garden this morning. It is the best therapy!

Just a boy and his pup. Watching the older two ride their go cart today. Blaze kept the kid waiting for a turn company until it was their turn. 😍

I guess we should give this gal more credit then we do around here on the farm. Today she was on a mission to get rid of some rats and she succeeded!! She is a much better help then the lazy barn cats 😂

This little chick is struggling to get out of its egg. you can’t just pull the shell off because there are nutrients that the little chick needs to absorb before completing hatching. So we use a paint brush and water to moisten the outer shell a little at a time to make it easier for it to hatch on its own. (A little trick Lydia learned from watching a fellow chicken person on YouTube) It’s almost made it out!

Netherland Dwarf and Lion head mixed. They will be smaller rabbits, so indoor or outdoor pets. Easy to litter train. Pm for details

A little egg throwing competition in the garden today. Why? Eggshells help to strengthen a plant's roots so it can grow faster and stronger. So the extra eggshells get put in the garden and at planting time each plant will have some placed in the soil with it!

We have some cute babies that are I’ll be available in a few weeks. They are Lion head dwarf. (Mom is a Lion head dad is a Netherland dwarf) So they will stay small and fluffy! Great indoor rabbits or out.

Hatching out baby chicks has been such a good experience for the littles! They love watching them come out of the eggs! Something I find amazing is an egg! As it has nothing connecting it to a life support yet life emerges from it. Nothing breathing for it, nothing feeding it. Gods creations amaze me!

Added new chicken housing this week. Most of the material is from my pappaws old chicken coop. We brought a piece of him home with us.

What happens when a Triplet Runt is struggling to thrive?? You bring it in the house and bottle it 🤷‍♀️. Every 3 hours through the night! What can I say we LOVE our goats. #farmlife. Thanks Jessie Messy for the hard work!
