If you need an exercise to help you out in this heat, then try this!! Sometimes one of the more challenging task of training will be teaching a dog how to chill on command. Using an elevated cot or pet bed start teaching your dog to lay on it and slowly add distance or distractions, see how long they can hold it before you give them their release command!

The Box Game 📦
I’ve been recommending to a lot of clients recently to play this game with their pup and I realized that not everybody has an idea of what exactly I mean by ‘Let’s Play The Box Game’ So I now have the perfect candidate, Sophia a boxer! 🤍 She is doing a great job at building confidence with the sounds, movement, the different textures on her feet, she’s really enjoying this exercise. It also a great first game to help her build confidence in a new environment because she is going to be boarding with me for the next two weeks, so this was an excellent game to help her acclimate to my house because there’s reward in exploring a new environment!
Always remember to try to incorporate some type of fun when you’re doing training , dogs always learn better when they are enjoying their activity while they are learning or building confidence.
