Good morning everyone, we where scheduled to have a clinic this weekend Saturday August 17th through Sunday the 18th but we’ve had a slight change of plans which suits me just fine.

Our great Mentors Amy and Steve LeSatz of Bridle Bit Horsemanship will be coming to our home to teach a few lessons and spend sone quality time!

It’ll be a fun and intimate day of horsemanship with two of the natural horsemanship’s finest clinicians. There are a few open spots for private lessons if your looking for some personalized one on one time with your horse and some expert instruction!! We’ve got quite a few young horses to work this weekend so even if your just interested in spectating there will be so much opportunity to learn and observe some advanced, mindful and effective horsemanship at a level that you really don’t get to see around here very often.

Pm me for time slots and prices
Located in Canon City.

Well folks tomorrow is the big day for our "Getting along" Clinic for young Horses.!!!
At Five Star Equestrian Center

For my folks riding in the clinic we’ll meet at 9 Am in the main indoor for “coffee and coordination”. Then we’ll get started on the ground and go from there!

Spectators are more than welcome and Jimmy will be happy to answer any questions you have!!

We will have a lot of diversity of horses and riders all at various stages of development so there will be many opportunities to learn from and with the horse!

See you there!

Aggie really saved Jimmy’s butt at the last VRH show after Jimmy didn’t make the best choice of cattle during the cutting run.
She rose to the challenge and scored top points in events that typically aren’t her strong suit; Ranch trail, Ranch reining and Ranch Riding!

Autumn had some great works on her mare Josie this weekend at the SCCHA show! I’m so proud of my Awesome wife and her super cool mare!

I've finally had time to post a few pics of the roping clinic. We didn't get any pics of roping on live cattle in the afternoon but Autumn got a few good pics of the "dry work" morning session. Thanks again for coming everyone! Looking forward to the next one.

We had a good turnout for a misty, muddy Colorado morning which became a beautiful day and an even better clinic. I’m really starting to enjoy these no frills just good old horsemanship clinics! There’s always so much hidden in the details and each different horse and human brings so much to the table when it comes to all the opportunities they give us to learn during the day! Thanks for coming everyone and we look forward to the next one.

We sure had a lot of fun at our clinic on Sunday!

We got to meet some wonderful people and horses at a beautiful new facility and got some great work done. I loved every second of it! Thank you for your kind words Lexi! It sure means a lot coming from a professional like yourself! We look forward to riding with you and your nice young horse again!

I’ve got two last minute spots left in this clinic! Come join us!

You know how you know it’s spring time?

Because I just had 4 last minute spots open up in my “problems and progress” clinic due to scheduling conflicts with brandings.

This clinic is all about solving problems or trying to make a little progress with your horses skill set your own understanding! Open to all breeds, skill levels and disciplines!

Cost to participate is $100.

So let me know if you or anyone you know would like to ride or needs a little help!
I originally limited the clinic to 6 participants and it filled up quick and I haven’t advertised since up quick so this is a pretty good chunk out of the participants at the last minute and I’d love to refill those spots!

Autumns and her 5 y/o mare Josie had a great run in the reining in the JR. Horse division!

Sometimes It’s hard to remember that this mare has only been under saddle since July of last year when Autumn started her and that this was her first show!

Tom Dorrance once said “Take the time it takes, and it takes less time,” and this is a prime example of what he meant. Autumn has spent the last nine months working right from where Josie was at and doing only what Josie needed her to do. Making sure not to overburden this mare or put her goals above what the horse was ready for and it sure payed off! Great job Autumn!

Our Flag clinic was a lot of fun!

It was really kind of nice not to have too many people signed up, so we really got to spend some quality time with our friends and even brought out some live cattle to put to use the skills we practiced on the flag.

A big thanks to Hillary Leeman for putting together this fun video of the day!

Some of the teaching moments I caught on camera :)

We had a great time at the ”problems and progress” clinic on the 23.

We had such a fun group of riders and horses who really helped remind me why we love doing this in the first place! We got some great work done and helped some folks make some “progress” and work on some “problems”!

Thanks for coming everyone and we look forward to seeing you again!

About US???

Well, that's just the thing, its not about us... its about the horse, that's what people have to understand! Our love for the horse is unrelenting and our dream is pretty simple, we want people to enjoy and love working with horses as much as we do, but to do that we have to help people understand that the change is all on you! Its one of the greatest joys in life and at times it can be very challenging and down right discouraging but if we could just help people see what they need to do to get right with their horse, then our job is done! That's why we would like to share our gained experience so folks can avoid the same mistakes we made along the way. That way, when their horse gets into trouble, they might have a better idea about what to do to help their horse understand and feel more comfortable. The more we learn the less we know but the least we can do is try to make our horses feel comfortable with what we ask of them. Autumn and I have been lucky enough to literally climb mountains with our horses. maybe we can help you and your horse climb a few of your own! happy trails.
