Yesterday we had 12 owner surrender requests. Twelve. This wording is mostly from a post we latched onto, because when you feel like you’re alone in this it’s easy to get overwhelmed and honestly… angry. Please read.

🚨 PSA🚨
The general public has no idea what the current animal crisis is. So here's an update:

- All animal shelters are full
- All rescues are full
- All no kill shelters are full
- Adoptions are at an all time low EVERYWHERE
- Intake is at an all time high
- Animals are being dumped faster than we can find space
- Euthanasia for space is at an all time high nationwide
- Donations are at an all time low

Breeders are surrendering ENTIRE LITTERS, parents included. They are not selling. Puppies, pregnant moms, and perfect young pets are being euthanized daily. There is no space. The chances that there is a "really nice" home just waiting for your dog or cat are slim. Spay/neuter your pet. Train your dog. Invest in a crate. Pets are fine being home while you work. They sleep most of the day anyway. NO ONE has more time or can take better care. Stop trying to rehome them or surrendering them to the shelter because you don't have time. If you need help, there are organizations that can help with food and possibly medical. And/or direct you to an organization that can. Please keep your pet. This is more than a code red. This is desperation.

Our hearts are shattered 💔, the sun rose this morning with 4 less 🐾 paw prints in our life, our sweet Penny Bean crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge yesterday. Her missing presence is overwhelming, we look forward to the day we can share memories & smile instead of cry.
