I believe that educating your customers and having the heart of a teacher will get you further than any sales gimmick or fancy presentation. While orthomosaic photos the act of stitching multiple photos together looks great in a PDF if the person taking the data doesnt know what they are doing then its meaningless.

I had a customer reach out that one of there clients had a thermal inspection done of the building and to an un trained eye you would think that the entire roof was saturated because look how many hot spots there are. However to a trained eye I could tell immediately in the first photo that the data was taken while the sun was up. That is the worst time to look for water in a flat roof system.

The second photo was taken at night about 48 hours after a rain storm and you can see a drastic difference. While it looks like there is still alot when you get closer photos you can see real contrast and details like over lapping material, water underneath or on top of the membrane. The third photo is a side by side comparison of how thermal done correctly can let you see things the eye can not.

With the 4th of July coming up being the leading week besides new years with lost pets now is the time to do a check up on your pets.

Making sure they are micro chipped, that the chip is up to date with your contact information. They are wearing collars and that the tags information is also up to date.

Walking them earlier in the evening before sunset and the fireworks start. Calming water or treats, 30-45 minutes before sunset so they have time to kick in.

If you know you have an anxious pet stay home with them, put on the TV or music to try and drown out the noise the best you can.

Check your fence line if you have an enclosed back yard for open gates or gaps.

The use of our drones are not the only way we assist with lost pets. I field tons of calls a week giving out just general good practices and yesterday was no exception. I got a call around 4 about a missing German shepherd in milton. I walked them through the do's and donts for the best chance of success and it really put them at ease that they would have success. At about 7:30 I got a call that the community came together and the pup was found and is back home, no drone required. Ultimately its the animals making it home is the goal.

This is totally unrelated to my normal posting however it is none the less super important. Facebook, Google, and Apple all suffered data breaches of log in information, so you should absolutely change the passwords of those accounts. If you have that password on another account change that as well.

We never expect to get calls like this but always do our best to be available when needed. We spent 3 hours on the lake searching the coast line. Unfortunately we had no luck tonight. Local EMS will continue the search in the morning
