Losing a dog is like losing a piece of your heart. They may not be our whole life, but the love, loyalty, and joy they bring make life so much more complete. Lately, I’ve had so many heartfelt conversations with new puppy owners and friends sharing stories of the incredible dogs they’ve loved and lost. It’s a bittersweet reminder of how deeply these companions impact our lives. Though their time with us is never long enough, the paw prints they leave on our hearts are eternal. 🐾🐾🐾🩷🩵

🎉 3-Week Update: Winter Wonderland Litter ❄️🐾

Our Winter Wonderland litter, born on 1/3/25 to the beautiful Willow x Banner, is officially three weeks old, and the cuteness is in full bloom! 💙

✨ What’s New This Week?
At three weeks old, the Winter Wonderland puppies are hitting exciting milestones! Their eyes are fully open now, revealing bright, curious gazes as they begin to explore the world around them. Wobbly walks are turning into playful tumbles, and their sweet little voices have transformed into adorable growls, barks, and squeals as they interact with each other. Best of all, their unique personalities are starting to emerge, making it a joy to watch these tiny snowflakes grow and develop!🩵🩶❄️🤍🩶❄️

✨ Meet the Snowflakes:
• Glacier (Female, Dilute Red Tricolor): Graceful and curious, she’s always watching her surroundings.
• Chilly (Female, Dilute Blue Merle): Playful and spunky, the perfect winter delight.
• Arctic (Male, Dilute Blue Merle): Confident and calm, a steady little leader.
• Noelle (Female, Blue Merle): Reserved ~ Sweet and joyful, bringing light to every moment.
• Polar (Female, Black Tricolor): Bold and adventurous, she’s full of personality.
• Snowy (Female, Dilute Red Merle): Soft, cuddly, and full of gentle charm.

Mama Willow continues to be the perfect mom, keeping her snowflakes happy and healthy. They’re thriving under her care and growing stronger each day! 🐶❄️

🎄🐾 Christmas Vacation Litter Update: Four Weeks Old! 🐾🎄

Our Christmas Vacation Litter is growing up so quickly, and today marked their second vet visit with Dr. Danny at Canton Animal Hospital! 🩺🐶 Once again, all the pups got a clean bill of health and plenty of attention from the wonderful staff. It’s always such a treat to see how these little ones brighten up the clinic!

Big news: Audrey and Ellen have officially found their forever homes! 💕 We’re so excited for them as they get ready to join their new families and start their next adventures.

This week, the pups also hit another milestone—they’ve started eating mush food! Watching them dive in with enthusiasm (and a bit of mess) has been equal parts adorable and hilarious. Their little personalities are shining brighter every day, and we can’t wait to watch them grow into the incredible Aussies we know they’ll be.

At Haven Farms, we’re not just raising exceptional Australian Shepherds—we’re a family. Hi, we’re Shelie and Andy, the proud owners and founders of this little slice of paradise in Canton, Mississippi. As a husband and wife team, we’ve built our farm with love, dedication, and a passion for raising AKC Australian Shepherds that become lifelong family companions.

As the heart and soul behind Haven Farms, I’m dedicated to ensuring that every dog and puppy receives the best care possible. I’ve always had a love for animals, and when it comes to Aussies, I’m truly passionate about the breed. My days are spent managing the farm, caring for the dogs, and ensuring that our program stays focused on producing healthy, well-tempered, and intelligent puppies. Whether it’s spending time in the run, helping a mama with her new pups, or just taking a walk with our dogs, I’m fully invested in this farm and our Aussie family.

Andy

Andy is my incredible partner in this journey, and together we’ve created a loving, nurturing environment for our dogs. His calm demeanor and dedication to the farm are the perfect complement to my energetic nature. Andy’s hands-on approach with all our dogs and puppies is essential to the success of our program. Whether it’s building out the infrastructure, playing with the pups, exercising the adult dogs, or assisting with the daily care of all the dogs, he’s always right there, actively involved. His love for these dogs is evident in every moment spent with them, and he’s a constant presence in their lives, ensuring they grow into well-adjusted, loving companions.

Together, we’ve built Haven Farms into more than just a breeding program—it’s a place where love, care, and legacy come together. We’re committed to raising Australian Shepherds that will bring joy, loyalty, and companionship to your family for years to come.

Farm life is nothing if not full of surprises, and today was no exception! While tackling our regular farm chores, Andy discovered a water leak that decided to make an unplanned appearance. What started as a quick task turned into a muddy adventure, with Andy doing his best to track down the culprit and get it fixed.

Life on the farm keeps us on our toes, reminding us that no two days are the same. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s rewarding—and I’m grateful for Andy’s hard work and problem-solving skills that keep everything running smoothly (even when the water isn’t!).

Whether it’s unexpected leaks or just the daily rhythm of caring for our animals and land, we embrace it all as part of this incredible journey.

❄️ Winter Wonderland Litter Update ❄️

Our beautiful Winter Wonderland litter from Willow and Banner is now 11 days old, and these little snowflakes are melting our hearts! 🐾

At just over a week old, their tiny eyes are starting to peek open, and we’re catching glimpses of their first curious looks at the world. Their days are filled with lots of snuggles, growing stronger, and cuddling close to Mama Willow. Banner’s genetics are shining through in these sweet babies, and we can’t wait to see their personalities begin to unfold!

🎉 Surprise! It’s the Winter Wonderland Litter! ❄️🐾

On 1/3/25, Willow and Banner surprised us with a magical Winter Wonderland litter, and today these frosty little snowflakes made their way to the vet for their first check-ups! We’re thrilled to report they’re as healthy as they are adorable!

Introducing our winter-inspired crew:
✨ Glacier – Cool, calm, and effortlessly majestic.
✨ Chilly – A bundle of frosty energy and pure joy.
✨ Arctic – Bold and striking like the northern lights.
✨ Noelle – Sweet as the season she’s named for.
✨ Polar – Strong, steady, and oh-so-charming.
✨ Snowy – Soft, playful, and absolutely lovable.

These little ones were the stars of All Creatures Animal Care Center today, melting hearts left and right! 🩺💙 Thanks Dr Hipp and the entire staff for taking great care of these precious babies.
