We agree you have the greatest donkey smile and best heart. And that FACE is just too much! Finnegan loves all the love attention he gets at HAAS daily from his ear massages and the beautiful words of affirmation we fill him with. 💕

He is much a like a dog that heals by your side and follows you around to simply be honored in your presence bc he trusts you and deeply loves you. 🫶🏼

Hi, I’m Maggie, the resident Great Dane at Hidden Acres. I’m just a cuddly lapdog, and I don’t get why that’s funny. I have a knack for creatively sneaking onto the couch when no one’s looking—it’s practically an art form at this point. Sure, people say I’m a working breed, but the only work I do is making people smile at our Animal Therapy visits.

Likes:
Couch time, scooching onto your lap, shaking paws, and stealing hearts.

Dislikes:
Not being allowed on the couch, people who say I’m too big to be a lapdog, and when cuddle time is over.

Did you know that Goats can eat Thorns? 🌿🐐 Yasss, goats eat thorns! These adorable animals have an incredibly strong digestive system that allows them to eat foods that would be toxic or harmful to other animals. 💪 Their stomach is divided into four chambers, making their digestion super-efficient. This ability allows them to eat a wide variety of plants, including herbs, grasses, shrubs, and even thorns! 🌵 At HAAS, we grow a ton of herbs 🪴 and forage on the farm specifically for our rescue goats. Thorns don't hurt goats because their lips and tongue 👅 are covered with a thick layer of skin that protects them from getting pricked and cut. Amazing, right? 🌟 🐾 Goats are a reminder of how fascinating and unique nature is.
