Happy 2024! Here’s Matt with Murphy. First dog of the new year. Murph is a huge doodle that wins the dirty dog of the week award every time. He loves his family most and the river secondly! Always a pleasure as it is with all of our clients. I did not write this article but feel it’s an important read. Hickory Flat alone has grown triple in a matter of 3 years and it isn’t stopping! If you are fortunate to find a groomer you like, then stay with them. Even if hard times occur on both sides. Stick together. It’s supply and demand for sure! 🐾

Announcement for dog owners (or potential owners)! Almost everyday I see someone asking for grooming availability. Why is that? Because 99% of the groomers in the area booked! I am one of those groomers, along with the three other groomers I work with. We are all booked the whole year through. I haven’t taken a new client in over a year. Since COVID, the dog to groomer ratio has drastically unbalanced. Lots of people got puppies! I tell you this for the simple reason to give you all a heads up. The holidays are coming up. If you are planning on getting a new dog, that’s great! Just make sure your current groomer has the availability. Don’t have a current groomer? Find one before you get the puppy. Research grooming routines and price as well. Puppies need to be introduced to grooming young. They will be groomed every 4-6 weeks their whole life, so we want to make it as positive as possible. Thank you!

PS - To my personal clients on this page that have recently gotten new pups, you are totally fine! This is just a general announcement for the community. 😜

We don’t just groom your dogs. We develop relationships with them too. Cosmo grew older over the past 8 years he has been coming to us and has now passed on. Our hearts go out to his family. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of his life. 🐾💕
