2025 has arrived. Yesterday, Kim rode for the first time in over a decade. Luda was a champ for her. She did amazing! Talk about get your confidence back. Can’t wait to see her on Mr Merlin, her dream horse
Second day of the New Year, the red mare, the bay mare and the grey mare spent time in the indoor rocking it for their owners. All of us had a great first ride of the year. With plans made to do it more often. We got this ladies.
Lessons are picking up. With temps staying moderate it’s great for lessons, but we have to keep our snowmobiling friends in mind and hope we get more snow.

What a weekend! First clinic out of the way. Reggy Oullette was busy this weekend, the ladies at the barn certainly were too! From getting their own horses ready and going, to getting the kids and theirs ponies into the arena for their sessions. Everyone helping everyone, The farm family we have is something special. Blessed is what we are.
Thank you to all of you. We made this weekend work. All of us!

The last 2 days have been very exciting at the farm. We welcomed the boys and girls club of Mi’kmaq Nation to the farm for a visit. Everyone was for the most part well behaved, Mac took the prize for being a rockstar as expected from the best mini ever! Pumpkin loved being groomed and fawned over by the kids today, she is a doll. And Luda, he was the man of the show, being the trusty riding horse he always is for the kids. Couldn’t be happier. And let’s not forget the chickens, kids even got to see them today.
Can’t wait for their next visit in the spring.

We are in the process of putting a clinic together with Reggy Oulette. Right now it’s looking like November 23-24. This will be a trail clinic for English and western riders. If we can get one or two more handlers who want to do this as an in-hand we will offer that as well. A little something for everyone. What a great way to introduce a young horse to obstacles and help gain their confidence. We are looking at $100 a day which includes one hour of discussion, all of us together when we arrive then we will be split into groups. Each group will have a one hour session in the AM and a one hour session in the PM. Lunch will be provided both days. Auditors welcome, $25 for the day, $40 for the weekend. We currently have 2 open stalls. When they fill, we do have potential to make 2-3 more. $450 full care hay/beet pulp/stall cleaning included. Blanketing and holding for the farrier/vet. $250 you clean your stall provide all your hay/grain/shavings. We turn them out, bring them in, feed (your provided hay/grain) am/pm/night check. Looking for some input. I’m considering building jumps and setting up a course in the indoor for once a week use, $50 an hour. Another idea is a trail course we can offer for use once a week for $50 an hour as well.
If you’re interested in lessons on your own horse, we offer that too.
Ella and Jadecyn for western and liberty lessons. (Not all learning has to be done in the saddle. Groundwork matters too).

If you’re interested in working your horse but don’t want to board. We are offering ship in. Use of the indoor for 1 hour for $30. You won’t have inclusive use, if a boarder is there at that time, they will ride as well. We have lessons scheduled ahead so we can work with you to avoid coinciding with them. We have had a lot of interest in riding lessons. Our first boarder moved in last week. We have kids in the barn, it’s filling with laughter, giggles, and sometimes squeals of joy. Horses are being ridden, dreams fulfilled, and imaginations running free. Things are falling into place, can’t wait for what else is to come.

Had some body work done on moose and Addie yesterday. Poor Addie was really out. If she wasn’t blind in her one eye, she would have nailed poor Kit. He wasn’t trying to hurt her, he was trying like heck to fix her. Now, that she’s back in line and “worked” what a difference. Whole new Mare.

Full care boarding facility located North of Caribou. Owners live on site. Over 35 years of horse experience, we will care for your house like they are our own.

Worked the new family members a bit today. Addie is going to be awesome for Jacalyn and for other little kids to learn on. Roo, she’s a pistol. So much fun and youthful antics. Our horses are definitely keeping Ella and I on our toes. How I’ve missed working with young horses the last 20 years.

It took 29 hours to do, the indoor arena has a brand new roof and it looks amazing. Advertising for boarding has begun and we are set to do spooky stables tour at the end of October. The 2 new girls arrived last night, went out for about an hour this morning. Boring they aren’t. Both girls are in love.
