Moo & Zing update!

Raising litter mates has never been easier! These two are such polar opposite personalities. Moo is into everything, touching me constantly and will tell me when she wants something. While Zing is the laid back boy who is just perfect... Shhhh don't tell him that 🫣. Perfect in the crate, polite with the other dogs, cuddly but takes body cues and only every vocal when it comes to meal time.

Meet Moo (right) & Zing (left)!

I never made it Facebook official. I always planned on keeping the only female out of Myrtle's litter (Moo) but I tend to keep a "floater" spot available in each one of my litters. Well I am so glad I did. Zing started showing to be an exceptional puppy around 6ish weeks. That trend continued to rise until evaluations were completed at 8 weeks.

At 8 weeks evaluations we found we had a wonderful litter of puppies. 4 of the 5 were show prospects but we had a CLEAR standout. At our structure evaluations this go around, we invited 2 other breeders to watch our process and see our Fauves puppies. Neither breeder was getting a puppy out of the litter, but it was so much fun and very educational for all. Zing went on the table and we were all in awe. I knew I had something special.

So let's me this FB official. Zing and Moo are the newest members of our 4 Clovers Basset Fauve de Bretagne family out of our litter between Myrtle & Wilbur.

P.s. I will probably be asking for help for a registration name for Zing. I haven't found "the one" yet.

For all my Fauve owners I have found banded combs!! While this is easy to recreate on your own, what a wonderful tool to purchase as a Fauve owner. Banded combs are a great way to cut down on the shedding prior and between groomings. Many of our fabulous homes use their banded combs a few times a week.

This is definitely a link I will be adding to my website!

Happy 7 weeks old to these cuties!! These last 7 weeks have flown by! Before you know it, they will be leaving for their wonderful new homes.

Which is your favorite??

I can't wait to see how they evaluate. 1 or 2 may just have to stay here 😬

Meet Nico!
We have made the difficult decision to retire Nico from our Breeding Program, and I am going to be very picky on where Nico goes. I am looking for a permanent home for the remainder of his life. While a pet home is ideal, I would also consider a junior showmanship home with the understanding he will live there permanently.
Nico is a 6 year old Basset Fauve de Bretagne that was imported from Ireland when he was 3 yrs old. He is a show MACHINE and loves to be the center of attention! Nico received a Best In Open Show at Royal Canin on only his 2nd weekend out showing. He also has achieved 5 Certificates of Merit (championships for FSS breeds) during the 6 months he was shown. After a couple years off from the ring, Nico recently participated in AKC Meet the Breed in NYC and was a huge favorite of all those meeting the breed for the first time.
Nico is a POAG Carrier, OFA Hips Excellent, Cardiac Normal, Patellas Normal and CAER Clear and Current. He is fully vaccinated and recently had an exemplary vet exam.
For a pet home he would LOVE to be an only dog or with a female dog that is larger than he is. He loves the bigger ladies! He is fabulously crate trained, leash broken, and wonderful in the car. Nico does love to run along the fence when a car goes by, and barking to let them know he's there. He needs a fenced yard and/or to be walked on a leash.
