One of the best feelings in the world as a reptile keeper is knowing that your reptile trust you. Trust is an important level when it comes to reptiles. Especially species known for being skiddish & generally not handled much. There is also a vast difference between the temperment of captive bred and wild caught animals. With effort and time you can have a wild caught fire skink who is extremely handleable & social. Veruca is captive bred , but that doesn't garuntee handability ! It took time and effort to gain her trust and us to establish a connection where she isn't fearful of me rather sees me as something that 1. Won't hurt her and 2. Will provide all the wormies 🤣🤣🤣

Did you know, however rare , that African soft fured rodents can be tame and kept as pets ? It's rare to find a gene poole of ASF that are not predominantly " mean " / bitey if you can find someone with lineage to them that show results of none biters that make amazing pets. A female or group of females can be housed with a male fancy mouse as to offer him company with out being able to inter breed. They can also succeed in living with female fancy mice as well.

Please be aware this video is hard to watch, but most certainly worth watching. Our hearts pour out to Brian Barczyk and his family during this time. We couldn't be more thankful for the knowledge and help we have received from Brian and his team over the years. Brian and his dedication to this hobby is what helped give us the drive to do what we do. We will forever be thankful to have had such a powerful, knowledgeable, professional to look up to and help guide us along the way.

In this time of sadness , we hope you find peace Brian and know that many many people & animal lives are better because of you!

Due to the continued health issues the MRS is experiencing & the high number of specialists appointments scheduled in the comming weeks we have made the choice to push our table for the Gettysburg Reptile Expo LLC in March back to July. This was a choice we mulled over for the last few weeks as we are still trying to sort everything out. We can't wait to see everyone in July!

Wilbur is looking for a forever home for Christmas

Wilbur is a blood tangerine male leopard gecko
He will be 2 yrs old in the spring & is used to regular handling , bowl trained , and sweet and active !

NCS is willing to help provide a wonderful children's Christmas.

We will build and set up a complete tank for this guy for 💲2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣

That would be a 20 gal long secure locking lid tank, heat pad & light dome , substrate, decor , hides, food and water dish, and starter insects!

This guy would then be FREE

Please bear in mind we are only capable of doing this for 1 family !

We will hold until Christmas eve if needed !

We have 2 racks that have been emptied out. They still have alot of life !!!!!! Heat tape works ( belly heat ) Each one will come with all bins and a thermostat.

1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣💲 each

Rack #1 holds 9 -12 qt, 1-28qt, & 1 15qt. This rack will hold more bins if you add additional heat tape ( the bins currently on the bottom are isopod colonies and are not included )

Rack #2 holds 10- 12 qt bins

Both racks were used for leopard geckos , pacman frogs, ball pythons, and baby boas.

You MUST pick up they are quite tall !!!
