Please make yourself at home…share your comments, pictures, ideas, jokes, good books…whatever you'd like. This is a page for sharing ideas, making friendships, encouragement, and a few laughs. Thank you for visiting. I invite you to share your comments, pict

ures, ideas…quilting or otherwise. A little about me…I'm a mom of 3 (22, 18, and 13), a life coach (feel free to inquire about my coaching services), and I do some dog walking on the side (because I love it). I am blessed to live near the ocean. I can often be found sitting on the cliffs, reading a book, and drinking a diet coke. Otherwise, you can look for me on my bike or on the trails walking the dogs. If all else fails, I'm most likely sitting at my sewing machine. There is nothing quite as peaceful as getting lost in the feel of the fabric and the hum of the machine.

I’ve been wanting to make a blanket for a special little friend for quite some time but I haven’t been overly inspired with what to make…until now. Within 10 mins of releasing her new Astrid Baby Blanket pattern, I swooped it up and got started on it.

I absolutely love how the blanket turned out and feel pretty confident our 3-year-old friend is going to love it, especially that purple border 💜.
Miss M fully approves too!

As always, this pattern from is written beautifully, with easy to understand instruction, full color placement help if you need it, and links to video tutorials if needed. I can’t recommend Mallory’s patterns enough!

My kids gave me the best Christmas gift ever last year … a gift certificate from .cat.yarns , which I spend almost immediately 😂.

I fell in love with these sherbety colors and thought they’d make a perfect blanket for Miss M to keep at grandma’s house for nap time. Swipe to see how much she loves it 🥰.

I joined along with a group of crochet friends in another MAT hosted by the wonderful and this “Sunshine” blanket was born. I loved this C2C pattern by .made.withlove It was well written with easy to follow instructions + videos for extra help. I think this pattern is perfect for baby gifts.

And for those of you asking … yes, I do still quilt. Ha! My regular longarm business is going strong, but my quilts in process are gifts so I can’t even show sneak peaks without giving away the surprise.

My Hygge Burst blanket is complete and I’m over the moon in love with it. I love the pattern and the colors the yarn … absolutely everything about it. Thank you for creating such great patterns and tutorials and putting together the perfect kit for people like me who don’t want to think 🤭

Thank you to for hosting this HYGGE-thin SuperMat! Hanging with all you gals this past month has been so much fun.

My friend asked me if she could commission me to make a quilt that she was gifting. Normally I don’t do commissions, but I can’t say no to .b.agins 😂.

This was supposed to be quick and easy but I just wasn’t feeling enthused. If I’m going to make a quilt, I need to love what I’m making. So I shifted directions and decided to make these adorable puppies by Elizabeth Hartman. Her patterns have a lot of pieces, but boy are they worth it.

This was gifted to the new mom and baby boy today, and from what I hear, these puppies are already well loved 💙

I finally dipped into my Liberty of London stash and made a most special quilt out of the most special fabric for a most special person. The back is peppered cotton with bamboo batting. You guys, this quilt is exquisite. I was verrrrry tempted to keep it 🤭.

My hope is this quilt provides a lifetime of comfort and love 💜.

I normally struggle a bit to figure out color combinations when ordering yarn (or fabric) online. But I think this worked out quite well and love how it turned out.

And I loved this “Bloom Blanket” pattern by As a newbie crocheter I really appreciate well written patterns with lots of pictures, and this one fit the bill. Plus, she has video tutorials which are great.

Help me out, what colors should I use for the next one because there will definitely be more.

Six weeks later, I’ve completed my first ever granny square blanket. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. And guess what? It’s completely square without having blocked it 😊.

I have no idea what I’m going to do with it once I’m done admiring my work 🤭. Keep? Gift? Sell? What do you think?

Pattern is Peaches and Cream by with a slight modification. My attention span waned (shocking) so there are a few less border rows than the pattern.

I recently started back at crochet after decades away and knew I needed to make this pattern by It’s so darn cute and the perfect gift for a special new baby who will be here very soon 💕. I can’t wait to meet baby girl and am even more excited for Maren to have a new friend.

I 💜 you

Did you know that my wildly talented friend has a new book out? It’s called “Rainbow Quilt Color Method” and is absolutely gorgeous!!!! The photos and quilts and colors are breathtaking. Beyond the eye candy, the book is chock full of color theory, tips, techniques, and clearly written patterns, all of which are precut friendly. There is a nice combination of simple pieced quilts, paper piecing, and applique with technique suggestions included. And, if rainbow isn’t your jam, every pattern comes with alternate color and/or monotone suggestions. Truly, this book is for everyone and it’s simply gorgeous, in case I didn’t mention that.

I chose to make the pattern “Eden” (pictured) and it turned out so pretty. It is all half square triangles and super simple to make. With the help of my cutting and trimming all those HSTs was a breeze. I actually search out patterns with HSTs because I love my Bloc_Lock rulers so much 😁.
