Calling in all of santa's helpers!🎅

We will be having a Food drive donation for the pets of Indy Humane! Unopened bags of cat or dog food are welcome. It must not be expired! All are welcome to drop by and place the items in the red box that will be located in our lobby!😊

We will appreciate any donations and I'm sure that the fur babies will forever be grateful. Let's be the voice for the voiceless, let us spread kindness! 🐾♥

🎇🧘‍♀️Meet our most chill and laid back tech in our Meet Our Team series Sarah 🧘‍♀️🎇!

Sarah started at Leo's this year in the month of March and man oh, man what an amazing impact she has! She is very caring and respectful with our clients. Oh boy does she love a challenge as well! 🧐🙌

Sarah's favorite book right now has to be Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Mass, but her second choice would have to be Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame Smith 📚.

Her favorite challenge in vet med is educating clients with more information so that anyone and everyone can be better pet owners 🥰🐾!

What is Sarah's superpower🧐?
Her superpower is that she is always willing to learn new things and take on challenging cases! 😎 Talk about a fierce women!🤸‍♀️💪

Turkey Time! 🦃

We're taking a break to enjoy the holiday with our families, eat good food and reflect on the gratitude we experience each day. We'll be closed on Thursday to make sure everyone has the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones.

Meet our astonishing and famous tech in our Meet Our Team series............ Ric🤠!

Ric has been at Leo's Pet Care for 6 years now! He is such an amazing asset to the team! He is truly well known for his kindness and goes above and beyond to provide the best customer service for our clients 😊.

His favorite challenge in vet med are last minute emergencies🧐. He enjoys thinking out of the box for cases but is amazing with comforting patients in their time of need! 🥺🙌

A secret about Ric is that he LOVES cats 🥰. He even says that they are the most adorable creatures that the universe has created 🤭.

Silliest thing that has happened to Ric while being in the vet field is when he thought that a cat, who we were boarding overnight , was an old lady ( which it was not) simply because when he came in the morning and turned on the light he heard a "HellOoOoOo" coming from a kennel when he turns to check it out it was a little kitty 🤣.

Meet one of our amazing CSR's, in our meet our team series. The one and only Cindy!🥳🥰

Cindy has been at Leo's for a year and a half and she has made such a impact here at Leo's as being our CSR. Not only does she book appointments but she helps in the back as well if they need some back up, such a helping hand! ☺️

The most silliest thing that has ever happened to cindy on the job has to be Jenni (our other CSR) recording her in her goofiest moments without cindy knowing 😅. Talk about watching your every move 👀.

Her favorite challenge in vet med is placing catheters in kitties and dogs although sometimes she doesn't get to do them much anymore 🐱🐶.

Her Pursuit to happiness is spending time with her family,going boating, and horseback riding (YEEEHAWWW)🤠🙌. She sounds very adventurous right? 🤠

Sadly sometimes the two hardest things to say in life are hello for the first time and goodbye for the last... Our sweet loving Cindy will be leaving the LPC Family in December. We want to take this moment to appreciate everything you've done in the time you've been here 💖🥰. We will truly and dearly miss you, we wish you nothing but the best in your new journey amor 😊!!

Meet our next loving tech in our meet our team series, who rides in style everyday (if you've seen her car you know 😆) Paige 🚗😎!

Paige has been with Leo's Pet Care for 2 years and she is such an amazing asset to our team. She is always there to lend a helping hand to take care of the furry patients that come through our doors🥰❤️.

The most silliest thing that has ever happened to Paige while being on the job is when she and her tech partner were helping with holding a patient to express the pet's a**l glands, she moved to where the pet's bottom was... sadly, she was covered 🤣.

A secret about paige is that she really enjoys learning about neurology in animal care.

When asking what makes her love the job she responded, "I love what I do at work because I am able to learn new things everyday to help animals"

Meet our second amazing tech in our meet our team series, who we like call our little "Smarties🍬" Emilee!

She has been at Leo's for 3 years and she is such an amazing asset to our team ♥. Her tech superpower is showing empathy towards her patients. She is amazing at being able to assess how they are feeling based on their behavior! She is amazing at reading body language and recognizing their problems 🐾♥.

The silliest thing that has ever happened to her while being on the job is her catching a**l glands in her hair while holding for another tech while they expressed a pet's a**l glands 😅.

What surprised her in vetmed is seeing how many pets need their help!💖🙌.

Meet Our lovely tech who we like to call The Cat Whisperer 🐱, Jen has been with Leo's Pet Care for 14 years! Two of her Tech superpowers are obtaining blood from tiny kittens 😽 and dehydrated senior kitties ♥.

The silliest thing that has ever happened to her while being on the job is accidentally getting a liquid medication splashed in her eye. Ouch, sounds painful right? Good news, everything turned out ok!🫢

Her pursuit to happiness is getting to snuggle all the kittens and kitties in the world :) 🐱🥰.

Thank you Jen for all you do for the clinic, what would we do without our cat whisperer 🌞♥🐈.

Do you trim your pets nails? Is it important to?

It is recommended to get pets nail trim for their health and safety! As well it can be very beneficial for your home and family as well! What happens if you don’t get your pets nail trim? It could cause them pain and discomfort. The nail can curl into your pet’s paw pads causing them pain and discomfort when they are up walking around! Hygiene wise they can get dirt, debris, and f***s trapped under their nails leading them to get infections. There’s still many beneficial facts, but all of this can be prevented just by getting regular nail trims! They will prevent these issues and keep your pet happy and healthy after!

You can try these tips for trimming your pet’s nails:

Nail Clippers: There are a variety of options you can choose from. Ask your vet which is right for you and your pet. Some even include a guard to ensure you don’t cut the nail too short all at once. Always use clippers that are designed for your pet. For larger reptiles, it may be easier and safer to use a Dremel nail file and a sanding bit as they do not make clippers large enough for big lizards.

Towel: A thick towel or blanket can be used to gently restrain and relax your pet during the process.

Styptic Powder: In the event you cut the quick, use styptic powder or another blood clotting powder such as flour or cornstarch to stop the bleeding

Treats: Treats and praise can help to create a positive environment and pleasant experience.

Vet techs often go above and beyond their job descriptions, helping to promote positive pet health outcomes and exceptional veterinary experiences. Their dedication is irreplaceable, which is why acknowledging their hard work and showing gratitude is super important for boosting team morale and job satisfaction😻🐶 .
