We know it's gonna be a hot one this Saturday!!! Doggie Day Out will still be happening, and you can beat the heat with doggie pools, splash pads, fresh ice water, and more!!

Rescue never stops!! These two were found out in a rural area running in the roadway with no one in sight! Today, one of our team members- our CDO, Jeanette, found them while working.

Hi everyone! We wanted to introduce ourselves.

This photo is from when Horse & Hound Hilltop Haven officially became a branch of Cross Your Paws Rescue!

Jeanette Simpson- Chief Development Officer
Jenn Buzzatto- Chief of Operations & Marketing Manager

After years of working in & around the rescue community & witnessing the rampant neglect that many animals face, Emily decided to make it her life’s mission to make a safe space for animals to heal from the unkind people of the world. While Emily’s love for horses & hounds are her main passion, she has nurtured many different animals including parrots, tortoises, rabbits, and chickens! With a heart as big as can be & a great bank of knowledge, Emily's ready to make HHHH a beautiful venture!

Jeanette is very passionate about animal rescue. She has been a foster for Cross Your Paws for 2 years. She is passionate about giving animals a second chance at life. She has two dogs of her own as well as a bunny and quail. She is also pursuing a career as an environmentalist. She is so excited to be apart of HHHH and the opportunity to help rescue dogs in need. Between her skillset and positive attitude, she's going to be helping HHHH shine on this new journey!

Jenn has been working in the rescue realm since 2017. She is a first responder, animal welfare advocate, and chocolate connoisseur! She cares deeply for animals and this has been a huge part of her life for as long as she can remember-- recalling a moment when she was 7 at her bus stop, protecting a millipede from the surrounding kids trying to stomp on it. Jenn's experience and passions will help drive the growth of HHHH!

Horse and Hound sprouted from the gap between difficult animal welfare needs and the next step of moving an animal in need to foster. Cases that are harder to move from shelters into foster homes include ongoing medical needs, moderate-severe injuries, pregnant moms/newborn litters, seniors, and more.

At Horse & Hound Hilltop Haven, we want to bridge that gap and give those cases a fair chance as well.

We have all been volunteering with Cross Your Paws for years! So it made sense to continue to, as we are so proud to be a part of CYP. This haven will give us the opportunity to continue to help, but in a larger capacity!

We (the women within H+HHH) have been involved with Cross Your Paws for a few years, so this is a fancy, fun way of saying we're going to continue to be, but in a larger capacity!

With the space we have planned for H+HHH, we will be able to help save even more dogs!

Meet Rocko. Two nights ago HHHH was called at almost midnight when a group of people found this handsome man running in a field in the middle of nowhere. They couldn't hold onto him, so we loaded up the car and went straight to him. Rescue work never stops & you never know when you may be called to help. Despite it being late at night, he was worth it. They always are.He is the sweetest boy. No microchip, no owner came forward yet. Likely dumped... We estimate him to be around 4-5 years old & he will be neutered this Friday. Yesterday while our CDO, Jeanette, was at work in a rural area, she found two puppies running loose with no one in sight. She brought them back to the office, called around... and nothing. We scanned them for a microchip which they also did not have.They are now safe at Horse & Hound Hilltop Haven. They are two sweet baby girls, about 4 months old. They were absolutely covered in fleas, and too many ticks to count. Their eyes and ears alone had dozens. They were bathed, fed, played with, and loved. And from here on out, they'll only experience the best. That's what they deserve and we'll make sure they get it.They will be fostered for a little bit, given all their necessary shots and care, and then be up for adoption!#horserescue #dogrescue #rescuedogsofinstagram #rescuework #horsesofinstagram #dogsofinstagram #greenecountypa

Oh, Baylor. We'll always wait for you! Happy Hump Day from the HHHH crew! We are running towards the weekend like Baylor is! Pawpaw did have a UTI earlier this week but that's clearing up and he's back to his usual self.
