There has been sightings of a lost black lab that is very thin. Dog has not been reported missing by anyone so we have no owner information. We are desperately needing any information. Do not chase. If you can get a picture that would be helpful. Need location and direction dog is headed. Please check any cameras you have. Also please look around as you are driving. Please share post and call number on flyer with any information.

Our hearts go out to everyone involved

K9 Hudson of the Kane County Sheriff's Office was shot and killed today while on duty apprehending a suspect. The suspect is dead. Our hearts are broken for both Hudsons handler and the department. Thank you for your service and dedication. You will be greatly missed. Another hero gone too soon. 😞💔

Just something to think about when we leave toys out for our dogs when we are not home

This is the second dog in the last two weeks that we’ve had come in to our hospital with this type of bone stuck around it’s mandible. Separate companies but the EXACT same design.

Please do NOT buy this type of bone for your pup! It’s not worth the risk. Luckily for this patient, our technician was able to wiggle it free but our previous patient was under general anesthesia for nearly a half hour while we went through every tool in our arsenal to saw through both sides of the bone safely.
Both dogs are lucky that they did not end up with lacerations or broken teeth.

ATTENTION Pet Parents!

A chemical used in Milk-Bones, Ol’Roy, Kibbles’n Bits, Hill’s Pet Food and other pet foods should no longer be considered safe for consumption due to concerns about its ability to damage DNA according to a new animal-model study.

According to the Environmental Working Group: “A scientific panel created by the European Food Safety Authority found that titanium dioxide “can no longer be considered as safe when used as a food additive.” The panel, citing concerns about titanium dioxide’s genotoxicity, or its ability to damage DNA, based its conclusion on a review of hundreds of scientific studies. EWG called on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to quickly consider whether to ban titanium dioxide from use in food."

A chemical that may damage our pet's DNA should not be fed to pets.
