As temperatures continue to rise, don't forget to take extra precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of your pets.
Hot weather can pose big risks, especially due to the heat radiating from the ground, which can burn your pet's paws. To protect your pets, check the ground temperature before walks by placing the back of your hand on it for 5-10 seconds; if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
Walk pets early in the morning or late in the evening when temperatures are cooler, and always ensure they have access to fresh, cool water. Provide shade if they spend time outdoors and limit exercise to avoid overexertion.
Look for signs of overheating, such as excessive panting or drooling, and never leave pets in cars, as temperatures inside can soar rapidly. Protective gear like pet booties and cooling vests can also help.
Our pets rely on us to keep them safe, and by taking these precautions, we can ensure they stay healthy and comfortable during the hot weather.๐ฅฐ

Baby kitty in the tree. I believe (semi-feral) momma gave birth in a hole up in the tree. There were 4 up there yesterday. Today I think the others left the tree and went with mom. This one is terrified and desperate. Crying scared. I think it is too scared to climb down and so alone with the others gone. Hot and thirsty I'm sure. Breaking my heart.
At first they'd only mew if we were far away from the tree. Now he locks eyes on us and screams. Any ideas?? I'm afraid it will die up there.
Update: The baby is safe and sound. She was recued by Tara Tigges. She flagged down someone with a ladder and climbed right up after it! Grabbed the baby before it disappeared further up the tree and came out unscathed, both of them!!

As the temperature rises owners of fur bearing breeds begin to realize their pets are hot. Mistakenly, many think that clipping these breeds down will help them be cooler. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
This time of year it's common to see these breeds 'blowing coat', meaning that massive amounts of undercoat are shed out at once. However, clipping is not the answer. Instead your professional groomer can remove that crazy amount of undercoat and help keep it in check year round.
This allows the coat to properly perform it's job of keeping the body cooler. The attached undercoat works like insulation keeping cooler air near the body while the guard coat reflects heat away. But when loose undercoat is not properly removed it impedes the coat from doing it's task.
Professional groomers provide so much more than a haircut. Talk to your groomer about booking an appointment for your fur bearing breed to keep them comfortable year round!

Regular bathing and grooming offer multiple benefits for your dog! The first being better hygiene and smell. A good cleaning can remove built-up dead skin allowing for an overall better smelling pup. Another benefit is the early detection of skin and health issues. Our groomers become a second family to your dog and may be able to notice bumps and abnormalities during the appointment. Regular grooming also promotes a healthy coat which leads to less shedding. Removing buildup on the fur can help spread the natural oils making it appear shinier. Another benefit is reducing matts, these can be painful for dogs because they pull on the skin. Regular brushing and grooming will eliminate the chances of matts developing (along with at-home brushing in between appointments) #groomerlife #doggroomersofinstagram #groomer #doggroomerlife #doggroomers #petstylist #doggroomingsalon #petgrooming #doggroominglife #doggroomer #dogwalker #dogslover #dogumgunu #dogpark #doga #dogstyle #dogsarefamily #doginstagram #dogum #dogloversofinstagram
