Finished winter babies today 🙌❤️🙌🐐🐑

Tuesday night Ruthie gave birth to a large ewe lamb which was immediately inspected by the peanut gallery.

Tsumani gave birth to an almost 14 lb buckling Wednesday afternoon. Definitely the hardest pull I’ve had to date. My wrists were sore as well as his poor little legs. She generally has triplets so one was crazy for her.
Luckily I knew a goat who had too many 😉 .… so after some olfactory trickery in her postpartum haze, Tsunami now has twins and Macaroni is down to 4 ☺️

Tinkerbelle was my accidental breeding and the only fainter that was due for a winter baby. She had triplets. The last one born was breech and the smallest of the three. She was sluggish and didn’t have much a suck reflex. We spent a little time in my car in the floor heat & once she was warmed up she sucked a small bit of a bottle. I quickly took her back to her mom and she latched on and ate like a champ.

So we added 11 new goat kids an one lamb to our little farm. I’m so excited to sleep all night without checking on expecting mommas. Now just to get them through this cold spell 🥶

Long story short, there were a lot of firsts on the farm yesterday. I went without sleep, faced fears, did what needed to be done, gained experience, and welcomed 7 healthy new goat kids to my little farm. ❤️

The last lambs for the year were born today. Two ewe lambs 💕 and the first spotted lamb I’ve had born on the farm.
Bittersweet day overall as she lambed at least 5 days early and I wasn’t expecting them quite yet but she was carrying quads so they came early 😳
Unfortunately two sweet spotted babies passed by the time I found them. They were very small and it likely would not have mattered if I had been there.
That’s farm life.
But I’m so happy to have two very tiny & very spunky new girls join the farm. I think they’ll be staying 🥰

Happy ! Anyone who knows me knows how much I want a camel. So here’s to hoping me and my camel will celebrate world camel day together some year 🤞🐪🐫🐪🤞

Until then, here’s the kids with Gus (I think ) at Majestic Meadows Alpacas & Boutique in Medina, OH. And a plug to go there if you haven’t visited. It’s an awesome farm for all ages with a large variety of friendly animals and self guided tours are only $10 :)

I had a super cute passenger today. I took him to meet his new mom. He traveled so well until I went to a rest stop to p*e and left him alone. When I got back in the car he realized he needed to make sure I didn’t leave him again so he hopped right up into my lap. He’s going to have an amazing life. I hope he brings so much joy to his new momma ❤️🐑❤️
