Been a whirlwind the last few days! Our sweet Camille has been adopted! Her meet and greet over the weekend went really well. Her new mom totally understood where Camille is coming from. She had a rescue cat for several years that started out exactly like Camille. She told us she truly felt she was the best mom for her. No expectations, patience, quiet, calm home. So off she went with her treats, a few toys that she never played with but might, her favorite food and of course her hidey box bed! She was getting so brave with us and updates from her mom are very positive.

Next thing is~ our Fern is having a leg amputation today. While we were hoping she would be fine without a paw, she started experiencing a few issues. Most of all, she was in pain. It became apparent that her stump was continuing to hold her back from leading a normal life. Please hold her close in your heart today that all goes well for her.

Thirdly, we have a newbie coming in to the apt. This little one showed up at one of our feeding stations a couple months ago. She was too scared to join the others, so I fed her across the way. She had on a collar that was noticeably tight. It looked like she had been trying her hardest to get it off without any luck. A couple weeks ago when I was feeding her, I was able to get it off!! It was so tight. Since then I've been able to pick her up and yesterday she jumped in the van! Can't wait to get her to a warm, safe spot this weekend!!

Last March we started spaying, neutering and feeding a large colony (15 plus) of feral cats that we called "the wall". A couple weeks ago we were told we were no longer welcome to feed them at that area and to stop. We purchased another deck box and placed it as close as we could to the feeding area, but the cats will have to find it close to 50+ yards away. So thankful that Ian, who works in the area, has taken on the task of moving the food a couple yards at a time. He has been a huge help to hopefully get these kiddos to a safer feeding space.

Sending a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took our Camille under their wing and donated to help her get ready to find her new forever family.

Margi and I take turns spending time with her and she is doing so well. She rarely hides under the bed anymore~spending more time in her hidey box house on top of the bed.

We have cameras on her at night so we she can check on her. She spends lots of time on her cat tree or just checking out her area. No more hiding in drawers or cabinets! She enjoys attention and is now taking treats. She loves looking out the window. She purrs, head butts and even drools a bit.

We feel Camille is comfortable enough and ready to find a family of her own. Tomorrow is Camille's first meet and greet. Positive thoughts for her. We're sure Karen is watching over her❤️

We’re reaching out to you today with a heartfelt request for support for a very special kitty named Camille. Camille is a sweet girl who just needs a little extra time to heal after losing her beloved owner, Karen Page, who was a dedicated foster for our rescue. In honor of Karen’s commitment to helping animals, we want to do everything we can to ensure Camille feels safe and loved during this transition. 💕

As many of you know, Camille is currently in a loving foster home, but we need your help to keep her there until March 1st—or until she finds her forever home, whichever comes first! To keep her in her current foster home for the month of February, we need to raise $1,000. This will cover her care and ensure she remains in a familiar environment while we continue to search for a loving, patient home for her.

Camille would thrive best in an older home, preferably without dogs. She may be okay with a cat-friendly cat, but her ideal situation is a calm and understanding environment where she can slowly regain her confidence.
