I'm still fostering dogs. I also still board dogs for people who are going out of town. The don't actually stay in kennels-they roam free in my house. All dogs love it here. A neighbors dog who was old and that I had not boarded for over several years escaped their yard and walked three blocks to my house, up a steep driveway and scratched on my door to come in! It was so heartwarming.

Yes, we are still open and loving dogs. Several always come to stay over the holidays, so book early!

I am fostering a cute little 5+1/2 month old male puppy here that is ready for adoption. He is so good and has such a happy spirit. His name is Roger. I wonder who will be lucky enough to be his adoptive family.

Bradley, the new foster playing.

Here is a video of the new "shy" foster, Bradley, playing with the other dogs. He hasn't even been here 24 hours and he has already gotten over his shyness!

Spring is here (sort of) and people are starting to take time off and letting their doggies stay at Rovers Retreat. If you book in advance, you'll be sure to have a happy place for your dog to stay while you are gone. I have a foster puppy here right now and she keeps all the other dogs entertained and Nyla (one of my dogs), is the activity director and the peacemaker, so she makes sure everyone gets along.

I'm still taking in fosters and also boarders for people who are going out of town. The dogs love it here because it is quiet and they have other canine companionship. They like the rubdowns too!

I finally deleted my web site to save money. I have enough client dogs (and foster dogs) to take care of without advertising. : )

09/23/2016

I am still adding new clients for dog sitting in my home, plus I am still saving lives of dogs in North Carolina. If you are ever interested in fostering, I will provide as much dog food as I can for your foster.

I have been busy with foster dogs, my dogs and client dogs. The good news is that 3 of my foster dogs have been adopted by personal clients in the last year. They just happened to see one of the fosters in my home when they came by. If you are ever looking to share your life with another dog, I can find it for you, or, you can consider fostering a dog yourself!

For the last two months, I have been fostering different dogs mostly pulled from the Harnett county animal shelter because they euthanize them every Wednesday or Thursday. They are always looking for fosters to hold them until they can go to the rescue group which advertises and finds home for them. Please consider fostering! If you have any questions, I can answer them or put you in touch with the right group. Also, if you are looking for a dog, let me know because there are foster groups and rescue groups with every kind of dog you would ever want. Save a life by adopting or fostering from a rescue group. : )
