Archie is on his way to the Stanley Cup for his awesome teamwork! 🐾🎉🏒🥅
Duncan says “Will try anything for treats!” He has been building his confidence here and trying new things! Look at him go! 🎉
I'm so proud of Archie's progress! This boy loves training and picks things up quickly. He's super high-energy, so training sequences with toy rewards keep his mind and body engaged. Archie goes home today after a 3-week stay, and I'm heartbroken. The boarding dogs become like family; I love them like my own. I look forward to seeing this sweetheart again soon! 😍
Sit/Stay training.
It’s a basic command all dogs should know. We start by teaching sit, then slowing add in an implied stay. (Which means we don’t say “stay”, but teach that the stay is automatic in a sit - the dog learns they cannot break a sit unless we say a release command ((ie. Break, free, okay, etc)) )
**** We use training as a part of enrichment here at Zoey & Friends. Training and results are NOT guaranteed. If you have something you want us to work on while your dog is boarding with us, you may request it but it’s not always guaranteed. We will be adding training to our services in the future. 🐾😊
Watch Baloo’s progression with the bar jump! We started off with the bar at a higher level and adjusted as we learned what he is comfortable with. We slowly moved the bar higher as he learned to jump over and gained confidence with each time! 🐾
Go Baloo!!!
I think we can all learn a little something from Bongo. ❤️
When life gets us down and throws curve balls at us, it’s our attitude that really matters. Bongo has been on activity restrictions since July 26th, 2024 but his spirit was never crushed. His tail still wagged with happiness every time I walked into the room he was in. He still was excited for food and treats and he even still enjoys being around other dogs.
His resilience and willingness to keep pushing forward is inspiring and the phrase “I didn’t rescue him, he rescued me” really comes to life with Bongo and I. I have struggled with trauma my whole life and at times, I really allow it to take a toll on my mood and outlook on life. Bongo has truly been a wonderful example that if you allow things to knock you down, they will but if you keep smiling, things will be much better for you. He is my daily reminder to keep a smile on my face and keep pushing forward.
You can’t change what has happened to you or even what will happen to you , but you can decide how you allow it to affect the rest of your life.
Let’s be more like Bongo ❤️🐾
Archie is learning to contain his excitement and I’d say he’s doing pretty good!!
Lucy learned to bar jump today 😍😍😍
When you can’t control your excitement for your new toy!!!
Dogs do belong on tables and you can’t convince me otherwise. 🤣
This started out as a prank. I taught Bongo to jump on my mom’s table on cue so I could annoy my mom, now Bongo is obsessed with being on tables….. oops. 😬 🤣 I’ve created a monster. 👹
Even on a humid day, we can have fun! 😍🐾
