I love when owners are happy with the progress their horse has made!

"Pickles" is one of the most friendly affectionate horses I have ever owned. She is the first to great you at the gate and loves to go anywhere with her people! Pickles is not buddy or barn sour but does need at least an intermediate rider because she is a lady of course and needs leadership. Pickles has been trail ridden all over Arizona BAREFOOT! She is sound, sane and gentle! extremely surefooted she is practically a mountain goat ready to take you on your next adventure. Pickles is NOT afraid of anything she is brave leading the group or happy to just follow along she would do best with a partner who enjoys a horse with some energy leaving the trail head as she gets excited for her adventure time! Pickles is 5 gaited and does all her gaits well! she has a nice trail TOLT and a wonderful speed pace. She rides in a simple snaffle and is build like a brick shed! just point and shoot and she will go happily. As a mare she is the herd leader, boss and a fair one at that. She takes amazing care of her horses and is a great guardian. She will protect them from stray animals, coyotes and I'm sure even mountain lions! She is great on the trails and is NOT marish at all. she is confident in herself and in what she is doing. If she ever spooks (RARELY) it's because a bird flew out and surprised her mostly when she hasn't been ridden in a while and she can do a cute little side hop, which is completely controlled with a woah. She is dependable and is the same sassy, fun and BRAVE girl every time. It absolutely breaks my heart to sell her, but I just don't ride her as much as I had hoped to as I prefer my stallion who is my heart horse. She deserves her heart person too. Pickles is definitely not a lazy horse she has a big walk and loves to adventure on a loose rein she may be short in stature, but she can easily keep up with the big horses. when tolting she does great with some contact and her speed pace is also loose reined! So easy! Pickles is a one-of-a-kind Unicorn that in the right home will be your life partner and take you anywhere! She travels quietly, loads and unloads easily, she saddles and bridles amazingly, she is awesome for her feet (which I do at home) and she is one of the coolest horses. Pickles rides English, western, ba****ck, groups big or small, back cinch approved, saddle bags, chaps, no fuss at all. Pickles has a heart of gold and needs someone who enjoys happy playful left-brain extrovert to share her life with! I will be very careful on who I place her with as she is a very special horse. you won't regret owning her. Come try her if you can. How should your cinch fit/fall on your Steele Saddle by Custom Tree & Saddle when the saddle is positioned correctly your cinch should lay straight down the girth line and about 4 fingers from the elbow. If your horse is galling, or the saddle is rolling or not staying it could be a couple things one is the cinch material, some horses don't like the mohair let alone people do not clean or wash them enough so the material gets dry and hard and starts to rub or cause irritation. This goes for any fabric cinches, wool, mohair, synthetic or otherwise make sure to WASH them regularly at least weekly depending on how much you ride. If your horse has a deeper girth that pushing the cinch forward try something more anatomical or ergonomic for the horse to keep the cinch falling straight along the girth. If the saddle is rolling or sliding if could be the PAD! try something thinner, thicker or adjustable to help. I see alot of people with pads slipping or saddles slipping it's usually due to the pad pr pad material or thickness. Steele makes a thick alpaca wool pad and a thinner standard pad with fleece or a tacky bottom. Sometimes the horse has atrophy behind their withers a western airpad is really helpful for those horses needing muscle and wither relief to rebuild those muscles where larger rounder horses do better with slimmer tackier pads. If the set up is correct the saddle will stay put and your horse will thank you 😊

Velvet is an amazing trail horse with 1000s of miles under her belt! She is sweet personable and incredibly smart. She will take care of her rider and hardly ever Spooks if she does it's a big flinch or a side eye. Velvet has a speed racking 4 beat gait and can go slow or fast. Her slowest around 7mph and fasted being 16mph. She has a wonderful lope and a good stop. She can walk on a loose rein and has a good neck rein and handle on her. Velvet has a good head on her shoulders and loves to adventure She can ride alone or in large groups. She is not buddy or barn sour and is an independent girl. She gets along with other horses in the barn and is easy to handle. She loves to walk and mosey but can move out at a good clip if you ask. Velvet is a gorgeous liver chestnut that will definitely get you noticed! She just had 30 days with me and I LOVE her! She is fun, level headed and the same horse every time. “Serena de Milagro” aka Serena is a 11yr old bay registered Paso Fino mare. She’s 14.2~hh. She’s been shown and professionally trained. She has great bloodlines and her sister is a world grand champion! Been out on hundreds of miles of trails and hauled up north camping. Loads, ties, stands for farrier. Nice smooth gait. She would be great for a confident beginner (knowledgable paso home) or confident intermediate (new to paso home) UTD on vaccines, deworming. Will be getting her feet done while on consignment here. This girl is so gentle!! She responds to leg and is very light in the bridle, she rides in just a hackmore and is easy to control. She stands perfect for mounting and dismounting. She has all the forward but is also very laid back and mellow and will walk calmly on a loose rein! She would thrive in a trail home that enjoys paso personalities! I love her someone is going to get a sweet little mare!
