I've always loved this 1908 post card from my Great Grandpa Albert Erickson, But what is the last Part about "in the ... .... from Olson's". Anyone?, I this Albert had only moved to the farm (where I currently am) about 6 months earlier to make his hand as a farmer! Ps(yes Grandma Alice eventually Married neighbor boy, Walter Olson 😉)

THANK YOU TO ALL that came out to brave the cold for a Ride with Cashe and Aiden! It was so amazing, and Full circle moment, to to Give rides in my (And Jens's) hometown, and to Even give my Best 4th Grade Teacher (Mrs Sullivan) a ride with her Family and all the New Friends!💕

A big part of the magic of the just completed Sparta Kriskindlmarkt is having our horse drawn carriage rides come through town during the evening hours. Such a nostalgic ride through our beautiful downtown.

A Big Christmas thank you goes to Lori Volden for braving all the elements and for providing this wonderful feature to our festival.

Last night For Horse and Wagon Rides at Sparta Kriskindlemarkt! Depending on the weather / temps we might only go until 7 pm! When Fingers stop working, it's time to call it a Night! ( Better to be safe) We will be there at 4pm!

A band of light snow moves through this afternoon, though forecast confidence in snow amounts as been decreasing this morning with recent trends pointing to a southern/weaker system track. Nevertheless, there remains the possibility that we see a quick 1-2 inches of snow south of I-90 through early this evening with snow amounts quickly tapering off to the north of this band. In fact, some areas north of a Rochester, MN to Wisconsin Dells, WI line may see no snow at all.

*Canceled for tonight** After watching the weather reports for today and the impending Freezing rain, (and already multiple Accidents on the Interstate), I think it's safer to call off rides for tonight. We will be back next Friday and Saturday ( 20&21 Dec)nights! Stay safe out there folks!
