✨ Meet Teddy! ✨

Teddy came in for his first grooming session at 5 months old. He was given to a long time client of mine by another family member. His mom worked hard with him beforehand to prepare him as best she could with the little time she had. Although he’s known as Tornado Teddy, he was calm, curious, and brave!

🐾 Dad requested a mustache, but mom wasn’t so sure. I assured them I wouldn’t push him too far—especially for his first groom—and would only do what he was comfortable with. Teddy did so well that we were able to add the mustache, and mom ended up loving it more than she thought!

✨ Big makeover day for Morgan & Harley! ✨🛁 These two definitely needed a little extra pampering, and now they’re looking SO fresh! 💅🐾 Morgan was not about the camera life—giving me those ‘no paparazzi’ vibes 📸😆—while Harley was an absolute sweetheart, posing like a pro 😇💖. Both left feeling soft, snazzy, and ready to strut their stuff! Can’t wait to see these two cuties back for more glam time! 🐶💕

Last week, I got to groom Dozer, our big, lovable American Bully. This gentle giant is the best boy—so sweet and full of personality. Seeing him strut out looking fresh and proud was priceless! Can’t wait for next time, Dozer! 🐾💙

Say hello to Percy 🐾, one of my absolute favorites! This dapper little gentleman comes in every month for his full scissor cut ✂️, and he’s a total pro at being pampered. At his age, he knows how to enjoy the royal treatment 👑 and loves soaking up all the extra love and attention 🥰. It’s always a joy having this charming senior in the salon—see you next month Percy!

🎃Here’s Blue, our early Halloween howl-star! We’re still a month away, but this little goblin couldn’t wait to get into the spooky spirit—even though he hates me for it. 😝 He stuck his tongue out to let me know exactly how much he enjoys our ‘boo-tiful’ spa days, but let’s be honest, he’s looking fang-tastic!☠️

🌟 Meet Phantom, our sweet Border Collie! He came in in pretty rough shape, and initially, we thought a shave was necessary. But when he arrived, I knew we could save his beautiful coat!

Phantom was incredibly patient while I worked to remove all the compacted undercoat. His coat had been shaved back in April at another salon, leading to some rough regrowth. Sadly, his owners weren’t properly educated on coat care during this time.

But don’t worry—Phantom is on the right path now, and I can’t wait to see him flourish! 🐾❤️

Y’all remember Re*****on right? The young, silly, and delightfully dumb doodle who never fails to make me laugh! This lovable goofball has a heart of gold and a playful spirit, even if he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed. He’s still figuring things out(I’ll be saying that for years to come) but with his charm and sweet nature, I’m excited to watch him grow into those big, clumsy paws!🐾😝

Sweet little Bushka is always a joy to groom with those adorable eyes! But when it comes to nail trims, this little guy turns into quite the character especially for the other groomers here that have tried😝. His mom never believes me, but somehow he’s on his best behavior for me—nail trim and all! No fights, just a little sass 🤣. I love seeing how even the most stubborn pups can relax when they feel comfortable! There’s something special about earning their trust.❣️ ”

Last week, I met Beau, a sweet but nervous boy who needed a little extra care. I took my time to help him feel comfortable, but when I tried to lift him onto the grooming table, his nerves got the best of him, and he tried to bite me. Luckily, I was quick enough to avoid it and I could tell he didn’t mean it. By the end of his visit, Beau was giving me kisses and snuggles so, I think we’ve scored a touchdown in the friendship department. 🐾🏈

With NFL season kicking off, I’ve got to ask—if your dog were on a team, would they be the quarterback, the mascot, or the one stealing the ball? Let me know! 🏆

Happy National Dog Day! About a month ago, I unexpectedly welcomed this sweet, mischievous little guy into my life, thanks to Lea and Jerry Chavez. I wasn’t planning on getting a puppy, especially since our (Sylas’) older dog, Cow Pie, who we inherited from my dad before he passed, doesn’t usually get along with other dogs. Lea had been trying for over a week to convince me, but I kept refusing. Finally, she almost had me convinced, and I even made a backup plan in case Cow Pie wouldn’t tolerate it. Then I got the message: “He’ll be here tomorrow night!” So off they went to pick up the whole litter.

I didn’t realize how much I needed him, and he couldn’t have come at a better time. Thankfully, Cow Pie has slowly accepted him, and they even play together sometimes. So, meet Squidley Dean (Squid for short)! He’s smart, stubborn, sweet, and exactly what I was missing. Huge thanks to Jerry and Lea!

Kaia had a big personality from the day she was adopted—always making sure everyone knew she was the boss. She could be intimidating to others and even tried to bite me a couple of times. But once she realized I wasn’t afraid of her, we developed a deep mutual respect.

A few weeks ago, her mom brought her in for a final nail trim, knowing her days were limited. She wanted Kaia to be as comfortable as possible. Before she arrived, I got her a pup cup as a special treat. After I finished her nails, Kaia leaned her whole body into me and looked up with the most loving eyes I've ever seen. I kissed her on the head as tears filled my eyes and whispered, 'You're welcome. I love you so much.' She leaned in even closer, and I hugged her tighter.

Kaia recently crossed the rainbow bridge, and my heart is beyond broken. After grooming her for nearly 10 years, this was one of the hardest goodbyes I’ve ever had to say, but I’m so thankful I had the chance to say it. She is missed dearly. I'm comforted knowing she’s now pain-free. Rest easy, sweet Kaia.
