I completely missed my wedding anniversary yesterday. Life as a business owner has been full of new experiences (very scary experiences) this past week.

Nonetheless, happy anniversary, Mr Casselberry Pet Lady! Ican’t believe it’s been 15 years.

Roo (Pinky) Update day 9

On Tuesday when Roo hit the milestone of 1 week post op, I sent photos and videos to the veterinarian team at the shelter. I wanted them to advise if she needed to been seen inperson since she was no longer on antibiotics. They said they did not need to see her that according to the photos and videos her healing looked according to plan. I, personally really thought so because it really looks good but better to be safe than sorry.

Yesterday Olivia and I took Roo and Brie to dog store in town and we purchased them Pupsicles. Check out Bark Spot and support local!

Did anyone notice that I changed her name from Pinky to Roo?? This morning, I swabbed her little mouth for a DNA test. While I’m rather confident that she is a pitbull mix…. Why not be 100% certain especially since we have decided to adopt her!!!

Once she is cleared from the vet at Animal Sevices, she will become a Booth.

Pinky update day 7

Today Pinky is officially 1 week post op. Her incision is nice and dry. The hair on her stump is starting to grow back. She has officially finished all of her medication that was prescribed to her.

This morning was the first morning I have allowed her on the couch to have coffee with me and to have more physical contact.

I think she is enjoying life.

Day 5 update on Pinky

I’m starting to wonder if Pinky knows how to bark. She is so quiet. She does make this random humming moan occasionally, but she is definitely not a barker.

She has a great appetite and is eager to eat.

She is inquisitive with the cats but not to a point that she gets herself swatted on the nose.

Oops… I guess I missed day three update, so here is day three and four update on our foster puppy!

Pinky is really a sweet girl. She had some stomach issues yesterday so we went to the shelter to see all her friends and the vet team.

Everyone so so please at her energy level and her healing. She enjoyed getting all the extra pets and attention. They administered her a dose of anti-nausea medicine via. 💉

We are working on a little bit of place training and having her be comfortable settled in a specif space. She is killing it!

We will continue to monitor her over the weekend and reach back out to them if she needs anything.

Pinky day 2

Pinky is a super sweet pup. She settles very well in her crate. She got lots of exposure to the cats yesterday and did very well. She seems to have low prey drive. No accidents in her crate and in the house.

Her appetite is fair and she likes her treats.

Even though she is on medication, I am still using this as an excellent opportunity to teach her to settle down and to be calm, to have impulse control and to use her listening ears .

Pinky day 1 update

Pinky rested well last night. She was comfortable and did not appear to be in much pain.

This morning she enjoyed a short walk, breakfast, time out of her crate and the opportunity to watch Brie and the cats in the house.

Pinky will be available for adoption from Seminole County Animal Services once she is cleared from the shelter medical team.

Anyone who might be interested in adopting Pinky can reach out to me.
