I had the opportunity to go learn more about Pepper's Senior Dog Sanctuary and their mission, and tour their facility. They are doing some great things and I look forward to being a part of it.

“The ASPCA estimates that approximately 670,000 dogs who enter U.S. shelters each year are euthanized. Sadly, many of these dogs who are considered seniors and special needs dogs are prematurely or unnecessarily euthanized due to age, special medical needs, testing heartworm positive, or having a disability.” This is where Pepper’s Senior Dog Sanctuary comes in, they will care for elderly and special needs dogs for their entire journey. And by doing this, it opens up room for local rescues to take more dogs in, which is huge because right now shelters and rescues are full! 😳

Here we are, Porkchop and me, circa 2018. Porkchop was my first fur baby, that I adopted on my own back in 2008. She was my sweet girl and we did everything together. I use to have dreams about opening a doggy bakery and rescue and she would have been my partner in crime. Fast forward to now, I had to say good bye to my sweet Porkchop, but my love for fur babies has not faded and I have since then rescued a few more, Buckshot and Maple. And now I’m ready to bring my dream to life and make some homemade doggy treats.

I’m pleased to announce that I’m opening Porkchop’s FURget-Me-Not Treats. Where you can order homemade dog treats for the fur babies in your home.
