I started my chicken adventure in Sept 2021 when I bought a cute coop on FB marketplace that came with four free chickens. Since then, my new hobby has expanded to 20+ chickens of varying breeds, 4+ coops and a joyous amount of eggs that my family and I can't possibly consume by ourselves. While my overall goal is to achieve rainbow eggs, my targeted aim is to have a chicken that lays the elusive plum-coloured egg!

Hatching eggs: I got a dozen of these beautiful plum/purple/lavender eggs from bombshellchix. Half will be hatched by my broody satin silkie hen, Patches, and the other half I’m going to hatch in my incubator. T-minus 21 days!

I’m officially stamping egg cartons with my logo and egg handling info! I prefer to stamp than buy cartons: Reuse, reduce and recycle! Thank you to the customers that bring me empty egg cartons - you’re the best
