FOSTER OR ADOPTER AND MEDICAL PLEDGES NEEDED FOR BELLA

This gorgeous, sweet, three year old, akc papered female (small) standard needs medical pledges and a foster or adopter!

Our usual protocol of spay, dental, f***l to lab, heartworm test, dental, shots, and microchip. As most of you know, our Veterinarian has retired. Navigating finding a new Vet with similar pricing and not $1800 being quoted for a dental has been ridiculous.

Bella's Mom has Alzheimers which two days ago was diagnosed as advancing faster than expected. We need to help her lovely daughter rehome Bella at this point. She's had no vetting, so here we are. Bella is great with kids and people. Cat's unknown.

Our PayPal is: [email protected]
Zelle: 310 980 3383
Venmo: -corona-1

We are confident that we can find an amazing new home for Bella, so we would appreciate the help! Please also share! Xo LMC

Happy National Dog Day to Addie Mae!

Our amazing friend Mary Boville fostered Addie and her sister who were owner surrendered under quite deplorable and shady circumstances. Addie was pretty messed up with eye problems, skin issues, rotten teeth and the kitchen sink. She looked nothing like the Princess she is now. Mary poored so much love into Addie that she healed beautifully. Here she is last month on her 8th Birthday! Love you Mary and Jenny Boville! ❀️❀️❀️

PUPDATE ERNIE & LILLY ATTACKED AT PARK

Ernie & Lilly are home from hospital. Ernie's spleen, liver & intestines were put back into his stomach cavity as his diaphragm was torn open. When Ernie got home, he wouldn't eat. Back to the hospital, he was given medication to calm his tummy down & make him hungry. He's now stabilized, eating well & having bowel movements. The surgeon assured us he did not have organ preferations, which could result in sepsis.

Lilly is doing well, & frankly, being chubby saved her life. ❀️

I spoke at length to the family that adopted the Husky from Front Street Shelter. He escaped their yard into the neighbors & they were unable to corral him. A chase ensued on foot. He cornered a cat. Wife said she saw a switch flip in his brain - she knew he would kill it in that split second. She was able to save the cat as her husband ran home for the car. When her husband caught up to the dog, he was in the midst of the attack on Ernie and Lilly at the park. The only way he was able to subdue the Husky was to jump & lay flat on top of him, thereby holding him down.

He attacked Lilly first, & when Ernie tried to protect her, he went for Ernie, then back to attacking Lilly. That alone saved Ernie's life. ❀️

The Huskies family are shell shocked. They returned him to the shelter. We are filing a request of outcome. They had him for 3 months & really thought they were doing the right thing by trying to save an animal. The videos of him in play yard at the shelter were not indicative of prey drive. Front Street are a solid shelter, work with a 501& have many volunteers. They wouldn't have made him available to the public if they thought he was a danger. The family have fully reimbursed Ernie & Lilly's hospital bills, almost 17K. Please also keep them in your prayers as they are devastated. When I was going over the bills with the Mom, she never even questioned the amount. As she sobbed, she repeated over & over again, "Those poor dogs."

This could have been so much worse & we are grateful it was not. Our Adopters, Bob & Ann & Lilly's family thank you for the prayers & are also thankful to FABB for sending prayer blankets. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Happy Father's Day in Heaven Daddy.

I miss you every single day as you know. The "Bob'isms" are all still lived by but especially the one where we learned from you when we were little to take care of our animals food & water before feeding ourselves. I do my best to share them (all million of them) whenever the opportunity arises... in your gentle way... leading by example never preaching.

I miss laughing uproariously with you in our genetic dark humored ways but Beverly Corona, David & I do not disappoint! Mom rolls her eyes πŸ™„πŸ˜‚so not a lot has changed! I must edit in that Ancestry has discovered she is 9th Cousin to Queen Victoria so that pretty much explains everything lol! Since you left no one has ever called me the best nickname I have ever had. I miss being called Cissy. I hope Pepper, Coco, Napolean, Sam the Turtle, Shep & finally Bosco & Al most recently have joined you. They all loved you beyond. I will never forget you & Mom buying me a real life baby state of the art 1968 resting cot for the kittens we found. Always the BEST for our rescued animals no matter the cost.

I love you Daddy. One sweet day we will all be back together again. Until then & although we remain brokenhearted without your physical presence ~ the strength & compassion & hope you gave to so very many under privileged children throughout your lifetime & the mentorship you provided to so many throughout your amazing careers'.... lives on. So many Bob'isms being spread by all the lives you touched. A life well lived Daddy. Truly.

URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED FOR ERNIE IN SURGERY RIGHT NOW!

Formerly Nico Dawson euth lister from Devore, fostered by Nancy Golden Towle and adopted in 2017.

Ernie and Lilly Belle were out for a walk yesterday when a 2 year old husky attacked them both. The man had NO control over his dog!

Lilly Belle (a friends little maltese) just got out of surgery $6000.00.

Ernie is under now with his intestines in his chest cavity and many, many deep punctures possibly to organs. Surgery is going to be approx. $12000.00

Please pray for Ernie to come through and for his incredible adopters Ann and Bob Rickabaugh. They are in tears right now praying he will make it. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Having been attacked at a dog park with Charmel I completely understand the horror and trauma associated for Ann and her friend Lilly's Mama. It causes PTSD.

Thanks for your prayers. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

PHOEBE GOLDEN PUPDATE

Well, last Thursday, when, , Nancy picked up Phoebe and her sister Summer, we were under the impression that they were puppy puppies. In fact, they're almost eleven months! No problem there, but the first night, little 7 pound Phoebe started her heat. I asked the original owners if she'd previously had a heat cycle, and that was a negative. So, off to the Google I went. Most females have a first heat at 6 to 7 months, but the deeper I dug, I found on breeder pages that for lil Yorkie girls, it's 10 to 12 months. She's officially a teenager now 😍.

Nancy and I had planned to separate them, and miraculously, Phil & Jean, who adopted Lil Joe from us last year, asked to foster one of the girls! Lil Joe (at 4 pounds then) was endangered at a Parker Arizona trailer park chained to a cheap lawn chair for 2 of his 4 years (every single day) and was afraid of everything when we took him in. Any bird snake or coyote could have gotten to him, and it's amazing he lived through that nightmare. 😬

He's now Mr. Personality 🀩 and rules the roost, so it's been fun and a little shocking for Jean Madden and her sister Karen to see Miss Phoebe boss him around. He's cool with her stealing his leftovers, sleeping in his new bed, taking his toys, and bully sticks away from him. His only rule has been established: Phoebe is in someone's lap he has to be in someone's lap. We have supplied feminine diapers for her and will monitor her cycle and coordinate her spay date to make sure it has passed before her hysterectomy. She'll be 1 on June 19th, 2024.

Jean and Karen report that her personality is starting to come out, and she's just a little doll. We love her 😍

PLEASE WELCOME PHOEBE & SUMMER TO Fluffs & Scruffs, A Dog Rescue

With thanks to our sister, rescue Tiffini Cartozian of Yorkie Rescue of America for the heads up on these 11 month old sweethearts. The owners are very kind people who were having a problem with the littles being too puppyish for their older, more sedate, dogs. They opted to send the babies to Rescue instead of blindly rehoming them or shelter bound. And they kept their older dogs! Thank you! ❀️

Phoebe is 7 pounds and outgoing. Summer is 9 pounds and a little shy but loves to be held. We don't expect them to get any bigger, and they will be spayed next month when they are 1 year old. DOB 6/19/23.

They will be separated as we don't believe in adopting same litter pups together. This way, Phoebe can be herself, and Summer will develop much needed confidence!

We are so excited for these little girls to blossom. They are being fostered by our Director of Adoptions Nancy Golden Towle who has been unavailable to foster as she has had her daughters boy dogs while they navigated surgeries for Nancy's daughter and grandson who have a devastating disease called VHL. Please keep Chelsea and Tommy in your prayers. They are going through A LOT. I'm so happy Nancy and Scott will get some puppy love to cheer them up! Thank you, Nancy and Scott! ❀️

RIEP BUSTER πŸ’”

Our neighbor's Steve and his husband just lost their gorgeous 17 year old boy Buster.

Steve wanted to donate all of Buster's belongings to a small rescue group like ourselves, including his bed, food, leash, feeding bowls, clipper sets, and many, many more items.

It is a DEEP honor to receive such a gift, and it has been and will be treated with the utmost respect towards Buster and his life well lived with all the amazing love from his Daddy's.

We are beyond appreciative of Steve's ability to send a part of Buster's daily life on ... to help other rescue pups. Thank you, Steve. We are celebrating Buster with love πŸ’”.

Photo's: First photo is of Buster. Second, I had put Buster's bed in the rocking chair while I made a spot of honor for it, and Lollipop, our four pound terrorist, jumped right in and was so proud of himself! Last, our new boys, Sawyer and Basil from San Bernadino Shelter, are using Buster's bowls for their homemade breakfast as we try to put weight on them.

MOLLY BRANCA ADOPTED

Back in early March, notified us of 2 owner surrenders, Molly 9yo Labradoodle & Rocky 7yo Great Pyrenees. Centa's friend Mayoli McAlister is a neighbor of the son who was surrendering his parents' dogs as they were entering assisted living, and she ran point on this rescue.

Molly & Rocky were shelter bound, and although we are a small dog rescue group, we couldn't handle them being thrown into a shelter. πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”

Christy and Jeff Freud stepped up to foster both dogs on their beautiful Labrador Abbey's 8th birthday. Rocky was still in "protection" mode and tried to attack Abbey, so we put him back in Mayoli's vehicle straight away! 😳 Thankfully, Christy and I were able to hold all 150 pounds of Rocky back.

Molly, at 9, had never had another home, and we were all very upset about the situation. Over the next month, as Molly settled into their pack, Christy and Jeff watched her unwind and only wanted the very best for this beautiful senior. They WERE the best as it happened. ⚘️.

I was on my way back to the desert from picking up supplies at when a potential adopter called to set up a meet and greet. When I let Christy know, she said her and Jeff couldn't let Molly be moved yet again, that they couldn't imagine putting her through that, and what were the next steps to adopt Molly? I got all teared up 😭. What JOY to my ears. Our Foster's always have first right of adoption (as they should), and to know Molly didn't having to go through being uprooted all over again was everything to us! 🀩

As the amazing photographer had taken the "intake: photos of Molly before even grooming, we thought it would be lovely to have an "outcome" adoption photo of the Freud's and their entire pack. Thank you, Christy & Jeff. This one touched us deeply! God bless you all! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Molly will have nothing but the best going forward.πŸŒŸπŸ‘‘βœ¨οΈ The current running joke is will Molly have a custom closet built like Shilo's πŸ˜‚??? Happy Tails, sweet Molly!
