So, yesterday I also heard from a very old and dear friend who was visiting for her granddaughter's 13th birthday and wanted to bring her granddaughter over to see the cats and kittens. Well, I was not aware she was interested in getting her granddaughter a kitten...hmm, like I wrote in the last post, the last two were already going. What to do?? Well, when I said the couple was here to take the last two kittens, the looks of disappointment were too much to take. Yup, you guessed it...I gave in and said goodbye to my beautiful Polly!! It's official, there is nothing I wouldn't do for Dr. Janice Ross, one of most amazing ladies I have ever known. Happy 13th Birthday, Delaney!!! From the time this girl sat on the couch, Polly never left her side. It was meant to be. I will miss you, sweet Polygraph!

Last night I got a message from FB from a lovely lady looking for a male and a female Maine C**n kitten. She just wanted them as pets. Her birthday is Friday and this was her wish. It just so happens, we had Aperol and Bellini still here who had just been neutered and spayed last week. I sent photos late last night, and she said she and her husband would be here today. So, we said goodbye to the last of our dozen kittens. (I was keeping Polly).

Good luck Betty and Alfred, the kittens are being named after their human grandparents. So sweet.

Happy Birthday to my brother, JC Owens. The coolest "fella" in High School, Harley enthusiast , loves his dogs, but tolerates my cats, life of the party, SU fan, year round Yankee fan. He is an all around guys guy, but still does silly things with his great neices like designing cat floral arrangements! I love you, Jimmy. Have a wonderful birthday...enjoy the hoffmans!

Someone is going to have a very Happy Mother's Day! My very favorite girl, Whiskey, left this morning with one of the vet techs at our clinic. She is giving this girl to her mom for Mothers Day. Dont worry, it's not one of those "surprises" the mom wants a Maine C**n Cat. Whiskey actually laid in the sink for her bath and sat proudly while I blow dried her. What a girl! I hope I get a photo of the big moment!

I can't believe the kitties are going to their new homes. They had their last check-up and vaccines and will be on their way to their new homes during the next week. Thank you Black Creek Veterinary Clinic for your great care!!

A sweet update...photos from Sadie's family. Her poor little human suffered an allergic reaction (not to Sadie) this weekend and Sadie stayed with her and helped her through it. Cats really are the best medicine! This melts my heart.

I had a great weekend with a very good friend, Jane Wright-Nunn. We have had the best friendship since we met while showing our Maine C**n cats, Endeavor and Redbone. She requested a weekend of horror movies, chocolate cake and a new kitty to try to fill the void after losing her beloved Hawk. We covered it all, (by the way, I recommend Abigail for any horror/vampire fan). I hope this new kitten brings her much joy and happiness.

The first kitten went to his new home today. Smooth, who will now be Arzu, had a nice bath and blow dry to look extra handsome for his new family. I think they love him!!

The kittens had visitors tonight. They made choosing one very difficult. This wonderful family has a kitten from last year's Solstice litter and came back to get him a friend. It's gonna take a family discussion and more pictures to make a final decision.
