For generations the horses have provided income for the McGuire family and put food on our tables. We can’t express the amount of gratitude we have for them.
Gratitude for the profound impact, these creatures have on our lives. Beyond their strength and grace, horses embody companionship, and understanding.
In the realm of horsemanship individuals discover not just skills riding, but a therapeutic connection that transcends spoken language. Horses become a listening ear in silent moments, understanding emotions with a keen sense of feeling, their gentle demeanor offers solace, and a sense of belonging. Whether navigating a trail or spinning circles in an arena, our profound gratitude stems from the unique ability of a horse to heal, inspire, and accompany people on a journey of both self discovery, and shared experiences.

The aluminum shoe is called a freedom clog and works wonders on lameness. It was invented by my long time mentor Gene Ovinic.

Sometimes when dealing with our larger Draft Horse friends, we have to get creative. Unfortunately, a lot of the pre-manufactured corrective shoes are not made in their size. This homemade wooden clog was built for a clydesdale mare, that had severely foundered and was replicated after the aluminum freedom clogs. The steel shoe we built for a Freesian gelding that suffered from a case of ringbone. We were able to weld an Avante to a flat draft shoe proving much needed leverage reduction and stabilized the joint.

Keeping your horses on a regular schedule is crucial for their long term health and immediate comfort. This was one of our longtime client who had rescued a horse from a tough situation. This first shoeing was definitely a step in the right direction. After one or two more cycles, the feet made tremendous progress.
