Meet Most Be Loved, affectionately known as Little Bit! This stunning 11-year-old half Arabian / half Welsh Pony mare has been with her owner, Gail, for the past two years—and what a special bond they’ve created. 💕
Little Bit is truly the whole package—classy and sassy! She’s not only beautiful on the outside, but her kind and responsive nature shines just as brightly. Always eager for a job, she loves working on the lunge line, tackling trail obstacles, and doing groundwork with Gail. She’s also shown in Half-Arabian Halter Mares and Dressage, proving her talent and versatility.
For Gail, the most rewarding part is knowing she gave Little Bit a forever home—and it’s clear that Little Bit is happy, thriving, and deeply loved. She greets you with a cheerful whinny (and hopes for a cookie, of course 🍪) every time you see her.
We’re so excited to watch this wonderful pair continue their journey together—filled with learning, love, and just the right amount of spoiling! 🐴✨

It’s mustache Monday!
Did you know some horses can grow actual mustaches? 🥸

That's right—thanks to an extra-active hair gene (not limited to boys OR girls), some mares and geldings sport a fancy stache on their upper lip!

But it’s not just for show—these quirky whiskers help horses feel their way around and even find food in low light or snowy weather.

Nature’s way of giving them a built-in food finder and style points at the same time! 🐴❄️👃

🌟 July Horse of the Month: Kidd 🌟

Please help us celebrate Kidd, our July Horse of the Month here at KiTerra Ranch!

Kidd is a 17-year-old Quarter Horse with a big heart and a sharp mind. Since 2022, he’s been partnered with his owner, Mimi, and the two share a beautiful bond built on a love of learning.

Whether they’re out on the trail, practicing English dressage or Western riding, or tackling obstacle courses together, Kidd always shows up with his signature kindness and attentiveness. He’s seasoned and wise, yet always alert—he doesn’t miss a thing!

Lately, this pair has been working on elevating their groundwork and deepening their riding connection. Every day with Kidd is a chance to learn something new. Horses are some of our greatest teachers—and this one has taught Mimi so much about patience, trust, and joy.
Mimi treasures the daily moments they share. As she puts it, “He warms my heart.”

🌟 Horse of the Month – June 🌟

Meet Mink – our beautiful, brainy, and slightly sassy June spotlight here at KiTerra Ranch!

At 22 years young, Mink is a Quarter Horse / Appaloosa cross with more wisdom and wit than most of us humans put together.

Pam, her devoted human of 13 years, will be the first to admit it: Mink is smarter, more accomplished, and reads her like a book... or as Pam puts it, "more like a cheap novel." 😄

Their journey began when Pam was taking lessons and noticed the trainer’s green-broke horse—Mink. There was a moment (yes, the moment) that Pam still remembers vividly, when something just clicked. That unexplainable bond was formed, and it’s carried them through years of hand-walking, ground work, liberty training, trotting, loping—and let’s not forget the all-important skill of staying on. (No, seriously. That’s a big deal.)

These two have grown together in the most beautiful ways. Mink may be the teacher more often than not, but Pam’s love and dedication have made their partnership truly special.

Here’s to Mink—graceful, gutsy, and the queen of June! 👑🐎

“My sensitive mare has always been reactive, and the series of obstacles clinics at KiTerra Ranch have done wonders to help her establish a pattern of emotional regulation and approach new challenges from a place of curiosity and not fear. Over the past many months, Terri, Kirk, and the team of talented trainers provided supportive coaching through practical and creative obstacles, with clinics building upon prior elements and allowing for new ways to work on navigating seemingly scary objects. The results are undeniable: after participating in the clinics over the past six months, I took my mare to the Region 7 Arabian horse show, where she spent a week at WestWorld and didn't give a second glance to flags of all sizes, various footing surfaces, busy arenas, noisy intercoms, and an array of golf carts, bikes, and tractors of all shapes, sizes, and sounds. I firmly believe it was the foundation and re-training she received through the exposure at the clinics that allowed us to have such a successful experience and, more broadly, have played a huge role in setting us up for future success, whether in the show ring, arena, or on the trail. The peaceful environment at KiTerra coupled with an incredibly supportive team of professionals and participants who put the horse first have fostered previously unreachable levels of learning for my horse.
