It was set up by midwives at the Royal Oldham Hospital in Lancashire, England as part of a pumpkin decorating competition.

This is one thing I’m here for. When you hire me as your postpartum doula I will be there to take care of you, mom! That means preparing meals, cleaning house, chatting over tea, making sure your water bottle never runs empty (especially important for nursing mamas!), being a shoulder to cry/lean on, keeping baby’s older siblings happy, calming baby so you can rest, and so much more. You deserve it.💜

This! If mama is hungry, feed her! You wouldn’t expect anyone to do a workout on ice chips.

Look at this gorgeous breakfast spread presented to mom IN LABOR. It's so awesome to see facilities realizing the need for moms to stay nourished during labor. Since ice chips and clear liquids don't do much!
Now shes fueled up and ready to bring this baby to the world. ❤❤❤*Mom ate a full meal for dinner as well. She did not vomit during labor.

Though with Birthing Moon you won’t have to pay anywhere near that much (my fee is $200-$600), and I am more than happy to work with low income families with my sliding scale fee and to create a payment plan to ensure no mother who wants a doula will go without.

Long have I supplied broth and stock to new mothers and ailing friends because I love making it and know how wonderfully nourishing it is! It’s no different in my work as a doula. My postpartum gift to each client is a jar of my bone stock or vegetable broth. You can choose beef, chicken, or vegetable (the latter being vegan). My bone stocks are made over the course of 48 hours to draw out all the goodness the bones have to offer! Perfect for those transitional days after baby arrives.
