We're so excited for the 2023 breeding season and wanted to show off some new faces and up-and-coming projects here at Raindrop Reptiles!

Thamnophis: This year we're hoping for Radix albino, anerys, snows, and hets for all of the above. We've paired our Eastern het melanistic with our male mel and expecting babies soon!

Corns: Meet Jeff, pictured below! He's a scaleless silverqueen ghost and he's got some lovely girlfriends with hets for him. Hopeful for some eggs soon!

We'll post some pictures of future projects soon but I couldn't resist showing you our new T+ albino Radix named Bippo! He's got lovely reds and will only get prettier as he gets older!

We're looking forward to the surprises of baby season and if all goes well, we'll hopefully have a fun charity event for someone in need in the reptile community so stay tuned!

As much as I'd love to keep them all, I'm going to let go of a couple holdbacks.

This is Nacho and he is considering moving to a new zip code. He is a T- albino radix, het anery from the 2021 New Year's litter.

I've been letting him grow slowly, but he's a voracious eater. He's a little skittish about handling but settles down once he's out.

Sneak preview of my first YouTube video!

I was editing and found this part where my little snow stole the show while I was filming albinos eating 🤣

This video is about ways I like to prepare baby garter food and hopefully it will be helpful to new keepers and breeders or even give some new ideas to the seasoned folks!

Long time, no see! Thank you to everyone who has continued to follow and has waited patiently for an update. It has been a very tough year, but we're back and have some new and exciting things coming!

We paired our garters later in the season than we usually do, so it will be a while before we have any babies. We're still just breeding garters this year, it will be another year before we have California kingsnakes. Stay tuned!

I apologize that I haven't been very active here or on any of the thamnophis pages lately. I've had a lot of difficult things going on in my personal life and it's just been very hard to engage on social media. I'd like to get back to it so I'm going to try to give some updates on my snakes soon. Thank you for everyone still around while I've been inactive 💕

This litter has been so much fun to raise up! Pictures don't do justice to the bright, beautiful colors of these albino radix. They are 66% het anery also.

The litter with normals and erythristic 50% het caramel are doing awesome and just starting to color up. I will be holding these a while longer.

Also, the ones that do become up for eviction, I probably will not send to any brand new keepers. These are the most uncharacteristically psycho radix I've ever kept! 🤣

Sorry for the lack of updates lately! I will try to get fresh photos and updates from every litter this weekend.

We'll start with my little single infernalis baby born earlier this year. He (or she) was born with a couple kinks and as the lone survivor of the litter, he is lovingly named LoneStar. Despite the deformity, he is thriving! He is going to live here for a while, then will be pet placed with my sister.

Babies from the current litter are doing great! Snapped some pictures while cleaning their tank, some of them are a little dirty after their meal. They'll be ready for new homes soon!

Gone, thanks for the interest!

This is Chip, a T- albino radix 100% het anery. He's a hold back from our December 2020 litter which had visual snows and anery and as much as I'd like to keep him forever, he's considering going to live somewhere new.

He's a ravenous eater and has never turned his nose up at a meal. He's a little flighty when you first take him out, but he's otherwise got that great radix disposition. He's about to shed, but he's got nice color even without fresh skin.

Please message me if you'd like Chip to come live with you. He's very well started and will be more than a baby would be. I won't be sad if he just stays with us!

Best Eaters Club of the current litter! They don't live in there, these are the most aggressive eaters that are separated during feedings so they can be more closely supervised. Food is minced to prevent food fights but if one of these hangry snakes still manages to get a big bite someone else can latch onto we'll keep them completely separate from everyone so they can eat in peace.

No wonder Lady Linguini was gravid over 100 days! She had 35 beautiful babies and three stillborns. The albinos have beautiful color even just hours after birth 💗

Litter update:

As some of you probably saw on the Thamnophis group, the New Years Eve litter was one with a sad story. The mother started eating her babies and sadly there were only five survivors - the snow she was trying to eat when we caught her, three albinos, and a normal.

The good news is that the five babies all seem to be doing well, including the injured snow. The mom passed the remaining stillborns that were stuck after her labor was disrupted and she seems to be doing well also.

People have been inquiring about these so I wanted to send an update. Unfortunately with so few surviving babies it is likely that these will NOT be available. Sorry, I know a lot of people were hoping for babies! Please watch the page for spring litters!

Ludwig has settled in well! This weekend I got him a couple future girlfriends (neither of which wanted to pose for pictures) who are classics het for fun stuff. I'm officially running out of places in my house to quarantine snakes 😅
