Becker Mastiffs is a small, family-run, home breeder of English Mastiffs located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. English Mastiffs have become our passion. Our first dog, Bowser, is half Bull Mastiff - half Lab. His temperament is very "typical Mastiff" in that he is laid back, calm, and a bit stubborn. ess Peach Becker (notice the Mario Brothers theme? Yeah, we're big kids at heart!) came to our home in August of 2011. Peach was a wonderful addition to our family, and is so calm and wonderful with everyone. Peach loves kids, loves to cuddle, and is protective of anyone she views as a part of her pack. In September of 2013 we brought King Koopa (again with the Mario theme!) home. He stole our hearts immediately! We had to travel far and wide in Iowa to find our dogs. I have not been able to locate an English Mastiff breeder closer than 2-hours from Cedar Rapids. We are so passionate about our dogs, we decided to breed so we could share that passion with others. Our dogs live in our home as a part of the family. We have worked with them for hours on end regarding training, etiquette, and socialization. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and am quite familiar with the value of such calm and sweet dogs in the service field. I often take our Mastiffs to work with me. They've become my agency's unofficial mascotts :)
