PSA! 📣 We have the necessary items to make sandbags available at the market. Joe Sremba has provided the dirt, Knight’s Feed has provided the bags and we are providing the area. You will need to bring your own shovels to fill the bags.

Dr. Isaacson responded to an emergency this morning for a goat that was anemic from a heavy parasite burden. Sometimes they cannot handle recovery without the help of a blood transfusion. These transfusions can instantly make them feel better and even get them back on their feet and eating.

High heat!
This high heat has not been easy on anyone lately, we have had several calls recently that are heavily linked to being over heated.
Several tips to keeping livestock cool:
- Good mineral sources that are species specific
- quality shade (meaning several trees or fans and possibly misters if shade is not well ventilated or small man made shade source)
- good ventilation if confined
- electrolytes
- most important fresh cool water
