This weekend we had a girls trip and went to Malvern, IA to the Hare-y Potter show. Of course I got very few pictures but here are a few highlights.
Laurie - Mini Lops
*I showed 6 rabbits... most of which were Jr's. I was pleasantly surprised that my Chestnut Jr. Doe, Zanger's Clara Belle, won 1st solid Jr. doe in BOTH shows! So, now she already has 2 legs to her name and has secured a spot to stay here long term!
*Zanger's Marie, Solid Sr. Doe (Clara Belle's mom) also won BOS in Open show B! She is a great rabbit but usually is always a bridesmaid and never a bride getting 2nd instead of 1st. But, this time she won her 1st leg with the BOS and I'm so proud of her!
Anna - Mini Lops
*Anna showed her 2 Broken Jr. Bucks for the 1st time under her own name. Even though there were only 3 total bucks in the class, she was excited to hear that her favorite buck, Zanger's Hiccup, got 1st place each time!
Emma - Netherland Dwarfs
*Emma only had 3 Nethies to show and her best one, Hyacinth, had a pretty molty coat, so none of them rose higher than BOV. But, that's ok. She had fun during the day because her friend, Cora, came to help her show and hang out with her.
Overall, we had a great day and are looking forward to all our buns being just a bit older and having better coats at the show next month in Lincoln!
