Getting a text with these pictures from our friends in a neighboring town just made my day this morning! Congratulations to Felix (& Eva) De La Cruz for showing Steel and Honey this morning and winning Grand Champion with them both at the Hamilton County Fair! These kiddos love their bunnies so much and take excellent care of them. Way to go!!!

Both Steel and Honey are originally Zanger buns!

Well, it has been quite the week of 1sts here in the bunny barn! In almost 5 years of raising rabbits, none of these things have happened to us until this week.

#1 - Sadly, we had a 7 week old baby get a little frisky overnight and it broke it's back in the cage and died. 🥲

#2 - We finally had a mama bunny overgroom it's newborn baby and accidentally ate off part of an ear.

They say both of these things happen from time to time but it had never happened to us until now!

#3 - I just opened a new bag of feed this morning to find it filled with corn! Rabbits cannot have corn so I had to spend a ton of time picking out hundreds of kernels of corn before I could feed the buns. Ugh! Time to talk to customer service!
