Don’t forget that when you’re walking your dog during the warmer months, they don’t have the same protection on their feet that you do! 🌞🐶
Make sure to check the temperature before you head outside. If it’s too hot, keep walks short and stick to grassy areas. Do your best to take long walks during the cooler parts of the day such as early morning or evening. 🌙
If your pup has cracked or damaged paws from exposure, consider a paw balm, like Mushers or Bag Balm to help moisturize, heal, and protect paw pads. 🐾

Finn finished up his third training session today and is doing great! The third training session is typically focused on distractions. By this time, most dogs are respecting the flags and boundary. But what is going to happen when that high-level distraction presents itself? This is where David will make sure the dog understands its boundaries, maximizes it's freedom within, and respects those flags, no matter what is on the other side of them. Way to go, Finn!!!

Here are the common signs of heat stroke in dogs and how to prevent it. 🐾
Heat stroke, or hyperthermia, happens when your dog’s internal temperature rises above their normal 103°. A temperature of 106° results in heat stroke and anything over 107° can mean organ failure and even death.
