Well. I've been thinking maybe I'm too young to retire from my loving long-haired Dachshund world.
Hard to believe that I bought my first Longhair Standard Dachshund when I was 16 years old. (I worked all summer for 80 cents an hour to buy him) "Fritzie"
By the time I was in my early twenties, I had been taken under the wing of Mary Howell, owner of Bayard Dachshunds and Dick Cotton, a professional handler and co-owner of Rickjon dachshunds. I was so blessed
So, all that started my 60 years of a Dachshund love affair❤️
And I'm hoping that my immediate future will contain some miniature Longhair Doxie events!

Well, I'm sorry that I've posted no updates in a long time but "life" happened".

Karefor Longhair Dachshunds is not completely retired. We are hoping for pups by spring 2020 if not before. I promise to post any updates.
Thank you for your interest in my kids. I've been in love with long hair dachshunds for sixty years. Ever since I bought and paid for my first one as a teenager.

this is our sweet "Poppy". she is s13 wks and has a little head tilt, which indicates a neurological problem, but Poppy doesn't know it! Poppy chases all the adults around and leaps off of stairs and is always happy! When you hold her she just drapes herself in your arms like a little rag doll because she is so trusting. Another sweet doxie story.

Champion Foxee and Champion Sara had three little red pups on June 30th. Two girls, one boy. Doing well!

Lots of new pups at our house. Oprah & Rocky have a litter of four. two boys, two girls. Mia and Charli have a litter of six, four girls and two boys. We've a rainbow of colors and a total of five dapples :) Life is good!

Well, we are hopefully expecting a lovely litter in early November by our lovely Champion" Karefor's Dancin til Dawn Sara ML" bred to another beautiful red Champion boy.

"Fame" may be available to an approved show home. She has a lovely personality and has been evaluated by other show breeders and my handler. She is considered a very finishable girl. She is six and a half months old and weighs 10lbs, 6 oz. Email me or message me privately

Well, 2012 has been good to us. We finished two new champion girls, Champion Karefor's Red Thistle Glamour Girl MLD & Champion Karefor's Dancin Til Dawn Sara ML, both our own breeding. They finished rapidly in just a few weeks of shows with our wonderful handler, Tara Hartman. Both of them got three majors, including two five pt majors, the first one on their second day ever in the show ring. All due to Tara, as I tend to "love" them instead of "train" them! So, next is to find that perfect male to produce a great litter. Also, Thistle's Dad, Katydox Karefor Fire Storm Foxee ML, also got four points towards his Championship, including a three point major. He's been on a little sabbatical as he tends not to eat if he is away from us for very long. But look for him back in the ring this summer! "All nine pounds of him"
