Congratulations to Mary Beth and her new STAR PUPPY, Ranger, a 5-month-old English Cream Golden Retriever! They completed Level 1 obedience, graduated, and passed the STAR PUPPY test--Great job!

Happy Tails will be closed over the holiday season starting 12/20. We will reopen January 6th. Look who stopped by yesterday to make sure he was signed up for the next STAR PUPPY course--Gunney owned by Lenny and Sharan, a 9 week-old Goldendoodle puppy--all set and ready to go for 2025! (January puppy classes are most likely filled with those who have already scheduled evals.)

SPOTLIGHT ON: Karen and Sadie, a Pointer and service dog, earning the AKC Advanced Trick Dog title (10 new and advanced tricks). Sadie is learning "tricks" that can help her owner-- like taking off mittens, picking up and retrieving items, even flat items like credit cards or postcards, retrieving a kleenex when Karen sneezes, going under chair/walker to be hidden away while at a restaurant, and just for fun, jumping through a hoop--even a service dog needs some fun now and then. Great job team Karen and Sadie!!

SPOTLIGHT ON: Sharan and her Goldendoodle, Daisy! 3 qualifying legs with really nice scores for the AKC Rally Advanced title. Sharan has been working with her dogs for many years, and they all become great therapy dogs. She realizes the value of training, and all its benefits. Next step: Rally Excellent! Great job team!

Big CONGRATULATIONS to our Level 2 Graduates with their new Canine Good Citizens! They not only graduated, but they passed the Canine Good Citizen test, and earned their novice Trick Dog award. Great job: Terri and Alakai, a 10.5-month-old Standard Poodle; Ed/Jana and Orla, a 16-month-old Golden Retriever; and Debbie and Jasper, a 1-year-old Standard Poodle! YAAY!!
