Gilly and her Great Dane friends are the newest members of The Fur Mama family!
Mia is wearing the pink collar and the daughter of the other Great Dane, Piper. These 3 also have 3 pig siblings and a duck who likes to think she is a pig. 😂 So excited to be having a 12 night slumber party with my new best friends!

🐾❄️ Happy First Day of Winter! ❄️🐾

As the season changes and the temperatures drop, it's important to keep our furry friends in mind. Here are some tips to ensure your dogs stay happy and healthy throughout the winter months:

1) Stay Warm
Make sure your dog has a cozy place to rest, away from drafts. Consider a warm blanket or bed to keep them comfortable.

2)Winter Coats
If your dog has a short coat or is sensitive to the cold, a doggie sweater or coat can help keep them warm during walks.

3) Paw care
Snow, ice, and salt can irritate your dog's paw pads. Advocate for your apartment complex or landlords to use pet safe salt! After walks, check their paws and wipe them clean to prevent irritation or injury. If your dog tolerates them, try out dog shoes.

4) Stay hydrated
Dogs can get dehydrated in winter too! Ensure they have access to fresh water, as it can freeze outside.

5) Mental & physical stimulation
Winter doesn't mean playtime has to stop! Indoor games and training sessions are great ways to keep your dog active when it's too cold outside.

Odin and Royce saw a dinosaur on their walk! They said to take a picture or NOBODY was going to believe them.

So excited to spend the weekend with them and their feline brother, Chance, while their parents are away for much needed getaway!

Sometimes my visits with clients aren’t all fun times. Best Friend is suspected to have a torn CCL. Both his owner and his vet believe a brace is a better option than surgery at this time. We spent our usual walk time today to learn how to walk with his new spiffy brace. It was difficult for him but he did so well today.
