We primarily teach western riding but utilize both English riding and ba****ck riding. If you're not ready to ride we offer handling lessons to get you comfortable around horses. We promote group activities such as fun days or "field trips", examples of these are fun days that include a craft and bathing a horse or trips to the u-pick apple orchard. We participate in events such as a local gymkana if multiple students want to commit.

So happy to be getting back into things with this girl!

We pulled Bow out but she was limping so we switched for Arrow.

This young lady is flexible! But she's also worked with Arrow mostly since she began lessons. Arrow is going blind but that's no problem for a pair that already has a bond. Hopefully she won't be too sore 🤣

We are working to resume full days of lessons but temperatures still play a part as well as my schedule.

We are starting to resume lessons!!!

100lb weight limit for now

$50 for 1 hour
1 child at a time- siblings can share a slot for an additional fee but will only ride 1 at a time

Lesson includes catching, grooming, riding, after care. It is NOT 1 hour ride time!

Pants, tennis shoes or boots, hair pulled back, helmet is required but will be provided.

At this time I am NOT planning to resume lessons.

I have been teaching for 9 years, it is time to take a break to focus on myself & my health. If or when I resume, I will post here on the page.

I do not have any personal recommendations for other barns but I can send out a list of local ones if needed. As always, do your research to find the best fit. If you have questions I am always here to answer them.

Today marks our official 9 years of being a lesson program. It has been a long journey & we appreciate all of you who have been a part of it!

This is a test run! We will use the shetland pony Taffy. Kids can paint her (we have washable, nontoxic paint sticks) then give her a bath!

Can wear shorts but please wear closed toe shoes- crocs, tennis shoes, etc. Taffy is a pro but getting stepped on still hurts & can happen.

Half due to reserve your spot. Must be paid in full day of. Refundable until 8/9/23 at 7pm.

I have always required helmets when around a horse, even on the ground. More accidents happen on the ground than riding. This is just one example

There will be some changes in the program but we are not sure what that looks like just yet.

Alexandra 4-2-23 Arrow was being a sassy brat & giving some small crow hops (which I did not get on video) but Alexandra handled her well & worked through it. Proud of how far this young lady has come! (Turn sound down while watching, the wind sounds much louder than it was)
