Valentina & Tracking Gold were in the crossrail hunter division and wound up with some lovely rounds and ribbons! 🥳

Makenna & Easton ventured into the Hunter Ring to compete in the 2’3 non-pro where they ribboned and also did their first Derby, making the call back and finishing 8th out of a large field! They also had a successful outing in one of the .85 jumper rounds! 🥳

Megan & Easton competed in the .85 Intermediate Adult Amateur and received a 2nd and 6th in their classes. They also tried something new in the Low Adult Equitation division! 🥳

Mikaela & In Your Dreams won a couple classes in the .85 Intermediate Junior Jumper as well as great rounds in the Open .85. They ultimately received Reserve Champion in the .85 Junior Jumper division! 🥳

Alyssa competed both Bellamy and Tracking Gold. Bellamy moved up to the .85 Jumpers and also finished 5th in the .95 Gambler’s Choice! Tracking Gold ribboned in his first time in the 2’6” Thoroughbred Hunter division, competed in his first 2’6” Derby, and got a 3rd in his .65 class- working his way into being a multi-ring horse! 🥳

Congratulations to everyone on such a successful outing! We are truly fortunate to have the best group of clients who are always willing to cheer each other on and lend a helping hand. The horses all had a well deserved post-show vacation and we are looking forward to getting back to it! 💜🦄

Rainy but productive day at Chagrin Valley Farms for the jumper show!

🥳 Emily and Onyx had some of their best rounds to date! They recently moved up to the 2’3” and a small oops on the timer line for the jump off kept them out of the big ribbons, but the progress from these two is fantastic!

🦄 Quinn and Duncan were Reserve Champion in the 2’3-2’6” with three awesome rounds in the rain!

🏆 Mikaela won all 3 of her classes (2 in the 2’6” and 1 in the 2’9”) and was Reserve Champion in the 2’6” novice jumper division as well as winning her first ever 2’9” class!

Extra congrats for series end awards 🥇🏆:
Quinn & Legacy’s Traveler champion 2’3-2’6”
Mikaela & In Your Dreams champion 2’6” novice
Alyssa & Bellamy champion 2’6” open

Another weekend, another horse show!

This one was a bit chilly and very wet, but none of the horses or riders seemed to mind all that much! Thank you Chagrin Valley Farms for another beautiful event! The fences were decorated so nicely, the course was a good challenge, and everyone kept things running efficiently!

Highlights:
Finn rode in the Open Starter Division for his first time. He jumped double clear and ended up second! He got braver as he went and really game as cross country went on… he did remind me that he used to be a turf horse 😂

We had the spots 1, 2, and 3 in the Starter Rider after dressage and stadium! 🥇🥈🥉
- Makenna took her role as Velma a little too seriously and couldn’t find her next jump 😉 should have known something was off when she arrived with her number upside down lol. Despite their elimination cross country, Easton and Makenna scored a 26 in the dressage which was the best score we saw all day 🥳
- Mikaela and Dreamy the Dragon were sitting second after dressage and stadium. They rode a beautiful starter test and had a really smooth stadium round! However, a little slip in the rainy grass caused a run out and they bumped down after cross country. They still managed a 7th place finish out of a large field!
- Last, but certainly not least, Quinn and Duncan the Pumpkin absolutely rocked it! They went double clear to finish on their dressage score and finished 1st 🏆 in a large class at their second attempt at the Starter level!

All these girls rode awesome today and the focus on dressage this summer seems to have really paid off! Looking forward to more mini trials next year with hopefully a little more sunshine ☀️ not too many photos to share as everyone’s fingers were frozen 😂

So proud of all the girls and horses at this weekend’s Northern Ohio Dressage Association Schooling Championship! Everyone showed great sportsmanship and rode beautifully 💜 it was so fun seeing friends, catching up, group shopping sprees, group dinners, and so on! We are incredibly thankful for clients and family who were not even showing, but still came to help make sure things ran smoothly for our large group!

Highlights of Sunday:
Easton started the Championship off with a bang receiving a 70.000% combined score from the two judges to win the Open Training Level.

We repped huge in Intro Level with 4 junior riders and one Open rider! 🥳

Finn was 3rd in the Intro Open with a combined 60%

Mikaela and Dreamy were Champion in the Junior Rider Intro with a 63%
Quinn and Duncan were Reserve Champion in Junior Rider Intro with a combined 60%
Emily and Onyx were Third in the Junior Rider Intro
Allie and Peep were Fourth in the Junior Rider Intro

Mady and Blu finished off our day with a Sixth place in a competitive Basic Western WDAA Division with a solid 63.7% under both judges!

Saturday provided many blue and red ribbons for everyone in their tests as well as Finn earning the Intro TIP (High Point Thoroughbred) award with a 65% in Intro C.

Thank you NODA for another wonderful show and a great year. The volunteers, show secretary, and manager are absolutely a pleasure to work with. This whole weekend was run beautifully despite the weather. We are so lucky to have local organizations providing opportunities for those who don’t want to/aren’t able to show recognized. 💜

Had such a fun time schooling at Hinckley Equestrian Center yesterday! It was a great experience for all the horses and riders and we are lucky to have local places that allow haul ins! Absolutely no better way to learn.

Also… how cute are their jumps?! I think we need a margarita jump now 🤔

Wow! Where to start… today we had 9 horses at the Rocky River NODA show.

First, thank you Northern Ohio Dressage Association for another wonderful show and learning opportunity!

⭐️ Madalyn Trend & Blu started the day off with her rides in Basic Western Dressage. She improved each test and ended up high score for her level!

⭐️ Easton came up next with his tests in Training 1, 2, and 3. He scored 75, 69, 68 and won high score for Training/First Level as well as the highest score of the day!

⭐️ Bellamy had three great rides in Training level as well ending up with a 64% in training 1.

⭐️ Finn received a 66, 64, and 61 in Intro tests A, B, and C at his third ever show. We received many nice compliments on his movement and attitude.

⭐️ Allie & Peep got scores in the 60s in all their Intro tests and are now qualified for the Championship show!

⭐️ Mikaela & Dreamy received fabulous scores in Intro A, B, and C including a 71!

⭐️ Quinn & Duncan had fabulous rides in Intro B and C as well as Training 1 with a 66! They are also now qualified for the Championship show!

⭐️ Liv & Friend had a bit of a rough (but very mature) first ride and then redeemed themselves with a 65 in Intro A!

⭐️ Emily & Onyx rode Intro A and B with wonderful scores in the 60s and low 70s!

Congratulations to all the riders! The following riders have qualified for the NODA schooling show championship:
Mikaela & Dreamy- Intro Level
Quinn & Duncan- Intro Level
Alyssa & Easton- Training Level
Allie & Peep- Intro Level

Bellamy, Finn, Onyx, Friend, & Blu all received one of their required scores today and we are looking forward to getting the other one at Chagrin next month 💜

Thank you Mary Steelman, Patrick Gallagher, Nicki Duca, Roberta Foltz Trend and the rest of the parents for help, photos, and good company 😊 thank you Chris Casey Jr for volunteering and also for helping everyone all day long 💜 thank you DeeDee Duffy for coming out to support and last, but certainly not least, thank you Margie Jordan for all your help keeping things running smoothly for our crew! Also a shout out to everyone who always helps at the horse shows! Today Chris was our groom extraordinaire and we were lucky enough to run into Evi who was there cheering on some friends!

Always remembering that none of this is possible without good support on the sidelines 💜

A little late on the show recap post!

First off, thank you to Northern Ohio Dressage Association and Chagrin Valley Farms for another wonderful show!

Between vacations and Lake County fair, we were missing a good portion of our usual crew, but these girls made up for it!

⭐️ Mikaela and Dreamy attended their second dressage show and earned more scores in the mid 60s at intro. They are qualified for NODA Championships- congratulations!! I think Dreamy is becoming a pro modeling all of his blue ribbons lately 🥰

⭐️ Allie and Peep had super rides in Intro and just barely missed their final qualifying scores. They placed well and had respectable scores in the 60s. They tackled intro C for the first time this year and had great canter transitions and fabulous scores in all 3 tests on their free walk!

⭐️ Bellamy had his highest scores in Training level in the 60s with good ribbons. He continues to work on his acceptance of the contact and we cannot wait to see how he develops!

⭐️ Finn had to fill in for Migo last minute and ended up riding his first Intro tests at his first dressage show, winning all 3 classes in the Open with lovely comments from the judges.

Congratulations to all! We currently have 9 horses set to go to NODA’s next show at Rocky River. If you’d like to join us, please reach out 😊

Congratulations to all the riders at today’s mini trial! Thank you to Chagrin Valley Farms for such a beautiful venue and making sure the riders were safe after all the rain we got!

Horses were fantastic, everyone rode super well! Thank you parents and students for making sure things went smoothly!

Some highlights include:

Makenna & Easton competed for the first time together in the starter division and finished on their dressage score to come 2nd ⭐️

Evi & Finn competed for their first mini trial together and finished on their dressage score in Intro to earn 3rd place ⭐️

Mikaela & Dreamy also finished on their dressage score with two clear rounds to earn 2nd in the Starter rider ⭐️

Quinn & Duncan conquered their move up to starter! Quinn was leading after stadium but a little bobble cross country bumped them into 5th ⭐️

Bellamy went double clear to finish on his dressage score in the Starter Open ⭐️

I will certainly have more pics to post, but here are these for now 🥰 looking forward to the next one!

Wonderful day showing at Hinckley! Thanks to all the parents for their help and support and congratulations to all the riders! 💜 it was a humid day, but a beautiful facility and of course we finished it off with a group cookout… which is easily becoming my favorite tradition!

⭐️ Quinn & Duncan were wonderful in the 2’ jumpers with great placings in big classes! Duncan was a little looky in the first class but Quinn made it through everything clear and really rode him wonderfully!

⭐️ Evi & Finn had their first show together in the 2’ jumpers, and Finn’s first show! They made it around all three courses and finished on a clean round! Really super riding and Finn looked incredibly confident by the end.

⭐️ Mikaela & Zara showed in the 2’ and while there were a few bobbles, they showed that they have a very bright future ahead and Mikaela rode amazingly.

⭐️ Mikaela & Dreamy won one of their 2’3”-2’6” classes and had great rides in the rest with good placings! Dreamy keeps getting braver and braver so it’s looking like a fun summer for these two!

⭐️ Bellamy moved up to the 2’9” and was a little looky at some of the filler but really honest and ended with good placings and a clear round. Thankful for a horse who is still gaining mileage but always willing to pack me around when I’m tired after a long day of coaching 😂

Congratulations to all the riders at the first NODA show of the year at Rocky River Stables!

⭐️ Lauren and Easton started the day with a wonderful ride in Training 1 at their first show together!

⭐️ Bellamy’s dressage continues to improve and he received very respectable scores in his first attempts at Training 1, 2, and 3.

⭐️ Allie and Peep won both their classes at Intro A and B with qualifying scores for the Championship!

⭐️ Mikaela and Dreamy went to their first dressage show and had great rides in Intro A, B, and C with a qualifying score!

⭐️ Quinn and Duncan had super rides in Intro B and C and even tried their first attempt at Training 1!

⭐️ Emily and Onyx went to their first dressage show and had great rides in Intro A, B, and C!

Thank you to the parents for being grooms, photographers, readers, snack providers, and everything in between! Thank you to Northern Ohio Dressage Association for hosting a wonderful show and giving the riders an opportunity for Q&A with the judges afterwards! Looking forward to the next one! 💜
