We are thrilled to have the opportunity to add this girl to our program. We weren’t actively looking to add a puppy, but we couldn’t pass her up. We have big plans for her. She will remain in Czech Republic until the Spring (due to new USDA rules) with Ája Vydrová at Zezemě Qwannabe where she will start her foundation in training for IGP.

Puppies are 11 days old today. They got their first nail trims. Ash says thank you, Mom 😅 🐾 Everyone is doing great and growing as expected ❤️

Day 4 of ESI — What is ESI?

Early Scent Introduction (ESI) is a technique that exposes puppies to different scents during their early development to help them develop their sense of smell and confidence.

ESI can help puppies develop the skills they need for a variety of dog roles, including: Hunting dogs, Tracking dogs, Service dogs, and Medical alert dogs.

Puppies are born blind and deaf, so they rely on their sense of smell to find their mother’s ni**le and survive. ESI takes advantage of this critical period in a puppy’s development to help shape their future potential.

Introducing Litter “L” - Ash x Maestro 💛

Ash is a wonderful new momma!! She started super strong, but unfortunately it’s been a long day. Her last puppy didn’t make it. But I’m thankful she was able to pass him naturally. As a breeder, it’s “part of the job”, but it doesn’t make it any easier 💔

Moving forward, she has 7 beautiful puppies that are absolutely stunning!! She has been a fantastic new mom and has adjusted incredibly well. We are very excited to see how these puppies turn out!

She ended up with 3 females and 4 males:
• 3 bicolor males
• 1 bicolor female
• 1 solid black male
• 2 solid black females

We trialed this weekend at the WDA Eastern Regional Trial hosted by Carolina K9’s. Nero earned his Protection Sport lvl 1 (PS1) title and received High in PS1 and High in Protection Sport Division, finishing 5th overall. He now qualifies for Nationals 2025!

Obedience - we had a near flawless routine until I completely forgot to do his flat retrieve 🤦🏼‍♀️ You live and learn, right? I cost Nero 10 points for missing that. He did clip the hurdle jump and had two commands for resit in long down. We still finished up with an 85.25 in obedience.

Protection - gahhh what a spicy man! He did excellent other than some hearing issues 😂 we lost points for two commands in his reclaim from hold and bark and two outs for his courage test. However, he was fast, hit hard, and had full grips. We finished protection with a 93.25.

We finished up with a total 178.5/200. Nero is only 22 months old and already doing big things! 💪
