hi friends! meet colbie.
colbie is a 11 year old mix breed pup that has nothing but love to give. when she was abandoned at pet paradise, and watched as her owner drove off with her sibling, she waited for 4 months to get adopted. when her adopter fell through, she was back after a short time away for another 6 months. colbie has not had an easy go at things. a friend of mine took her with the promise of being able to have her at the apartment she had, but roomate after roomate has denied colbie housing. leaving her with temporary fosters, and nowhere to call forever.
she finally was sent with a family member, again, with the promise of forever, and my friend has just received word that the family member is no longer able to care for her, and will be surrendering her on monday to animal control. with colbies past, the odds are not in her favor.
here is some colbie facts! πΎ
- she is around 30 pounds. perfect size!
- she can be reactive on a leash, and has some barrier aggression from all her time at the kennel.
- needs slow introductions and lots of time to warm up to other dogs, especially puppies.
- loves cats!
- lots of youthful energy.
- easy with medication, take trazadone for vet visits and grooming.
- calm in crate
- bit of a chewer, bones are her best friend!!
given the years sheβs been with my friend, she asks that she is able to see colbie on occasion, and have her be returned to us if colbie is found not to be the right fit for your family. there will be a contact that needs to signed agreeing to these things, as well as a rehoming fee.
colbie is the sweetest little pup, and all she wants is to spend the rest of her time with a family who will love her the way she so deserves. please message me with any and all questions!
