Charvy is showing off his skills! He is highly food motivated and eager to please. He knows sit, down, and paw! He has been very friendly with his foster sister and has a rough/rowdy play style. Charvy hasn’t been tested with another male yet because his eyes are still healing.

While he is a jumpy and playful boy, Charvy has been very good around smaller kids as young as 5 years old.

Per the vet that performed his entropian surgery, he shouldn’t need any additional work on his eyes once they are healed. He is otherwise in very good health! He needs to put on some weight but has been eating good in his foster home to gain those extra few pounds! Charvy is also HW-, UTD on his vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped!

We are so happy to help this big boy move on from his rough start! He should have never been at risk for euthanasia 💔

Ready to start the New Year right!?!? So is Wally!

2025 is going to be HIS year but first he needs to find his forever home ❤️

Wally is a 6-month-old bundle of joy, weighing in at 39 lbs. He’s a medium-sized, bicolor cutie with a charming mix of black, white, and cream fur. 🖤🤍

Poor little Wally was found abandoned at a construction site, but he hasn’t let his rough start affect his loving spirit. He’s ready for a forever home where he can share all the love he has to give.

Wally is not just adorable; he’s also crate and potty trained! This friendly and playful pup is ready to fill your home with love and laughter. He thrives on affection and is eager to please, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal sidekick. 🐶💕

Currently in a loving foster home in Charlotte, NC, Wally gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is curious about the world around him. He hasn’t been tested with cats or children yet, but his adaptable nature suggests he could fit in well with a variety of households.

It’s been an exciting Christmas for Trucker! First, he was picked up by his angel of a foster mom from a trucking parking lot! Then, he was brought into a warm home and taken to see the vet for probably the first time ever! We learned he was probably a bait dog based on his injuries, he will recover from all that with time and love. Now he experienced a much needed bath! His foster mom said he was super well behaved and he looks so sweet in his little hoodie ❤️
We are still very concerned with his results of being strong heartworm positive. We received a vet estimated of $1,732 for HW treatment. Please consider donating to Trucker’s treatment so he can move forward with living his best new life!

We are 54% of the way to covering his HW treatment but will need additional funds for his recovery costs & neuter!

Welcome Charvy to the Daisy Bean Pack! 🐾

Meet Charvy (formerly known as Ragnar), the newest member of the Daisy Bean family. His journey has been anything but easy, but this lovable big oaf is ready to start a new chapter filled with love and healing.

Charvy and his brother Bronson were found as strays in Richland County, SC, and brought to a kill shelter on 10/26/24 during a quarantine for a Pneumovirus outbreak. While Bronson was adopted, Charvy was sadly overlooked—likely due to his jumpy nature and obvious eye issues.

After weeks of waiting, Charvy developed kennel cough, further delaying his chances of finding a home. Then, on 12/13/24, he underwent surgery for Entropion (a painful condition where the eyelids roll inward). Charvy means beautiful eyes which fits him so much better. That same day, he was listed as high risk for euthanasia due to overcrowding.

But fate had other plans. With a dedicated foster stepping up, Daisy Bean Rescue pulled Charvy into our pack, giving him the second chance he so desperately deserves.

About Charvy

🐾 Breed: Part Mastiff, part Lab, and a sprinkle of mystery.
🐾 Size: 84 lbs of big, goofy love.
🐾 Age: 1 yr old
🐾 Health: Neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and recovering from eye surgery.
🐾 Personality:
• Potty/kennel trained.
• Friendly with kids as young as 5.
• A big, happy-go-lucky boy who loves life (and maybe giving overly enthusiastic hugs).

Charvy is currently learning basic manners and commands in his foster home. He’s a good listener, eager to please, and the kind of dog who will bring endless joy to his forever family.

Charvy’s medical care and recovery are ongoing, and every donation helps ensure he and other Daisy Bean pups get the love and treatment they need.

It is with a heavy heart that we must report the findings from Trucker’s initial vet visit this morning. The vet agreed with our suspicions that Trucker’s injuries are consistent with being used as a bait dog. The lacerations around his ear likely drained into his ears now causing him an ear infection. Additionally he was found to be anemic, severely underweight, and dehydrated.
The most painful news of all is that he has tested strongly positive for heartworms. We are posting the vet bill from today which his loving foster covered but we are hoping to reimburse her for all her hard work.
Heartworm treatment for a strong positive can range from $1200-$2000, he also still needs to be neutered, and get follow up care for his injuries.
We can’t help Trucker without the support of our community. We appreciate all that you do for us and for the dogs. We hope that you can find it in your hearts to continue to contribute to Trucker and Daisy Bean Rescue as a whole.

🚨 Trucker Needs Your Help! 🚨

Earlier today, Trucker was found in a truck trailer parking lot in Gaston, SC, severely underweight and suffering from open wounds on his ear. These injuries are heartbreaking and consistent with those of a bait dog.

Thankfully, a committed Daisy Bean Rescue foster stepped up to bring him to safety, but our rescue is tapped out for funds. We’re determined to help Trucker recover and find his forever home – but we can’t do it without your support.

How You Can Help

Your donation will go directly toward:
💙 Veterinary care to assess and treat Trucker’s wounds
💙 Nutritional support to help him regain weight
💙 Medications, supplies, and ongoing care as he begins his journey to recovery

His foster already has plans to take him to the vet, and we’ll share updates on his condition as soon as we know more. Trucker’s road to healing starts now, and you can be part of his transformation.

Meet Abigail – A Gentle Senior with So Much Love to Give 🐾

Abigail’s story is one of survival, resilience, and love. At 8 years old, this sweet girl has been through more than any dog should endure. But through it all, her friendly, affectionate, and funny personality has continued to shine. Abigail loves children and all people and is ready to find a forever home where she can live out her golden years with the care and love she deserves.

Why Abigail is So Special:

💖 Personality: Gentle, smart, and loves giving kisses. She’s a true cuddle bug with amazing manners!
💖 Talents: Knows all basic commands, walks beautifully on a leash, and is eager to please.
💖 Unique Traits: Abigail has no teeth, but that doesn’t stop her from being full of life and charm.
💖 Needs:
• A cat-free home preferably where she can be the only dog (past experiences with other dogs were traumatic for her).
• An adopter who can give her the extra TLC she needs, including frequent baths and paw cleanings. Abigail has chronic allergies and pododermatitis that require ongoing care.

Abigail’s Story

Dumped at the county shelter 2 years ago, Abigail arrived with severe skin allergies, infections, and swelling so bad it caused Entropion. With treatment, she healed and was adopted.

Sadly, in January 2024, Abigail was found emaciated, sitting on the side of the road next to a dog food bowl, covered in painful Demodex mange and open wounds. When her foster mom saw her photo, she immediately drove 2 hours to rescue her. Abigail was nursed back to health and adopted again, but the home wasn’t the right fit. She is now back with her loving foster mom, safe, decompressing, and ready for her perfect forever home.

Abigail’s Perfect Match

She would thrive in a calm home as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention. Her ideal family will understand her allergies and provide the extra care she needs – and in return, she’ll give unconditional love, loyalty, and endless kisses.

This senior sweetheart deserves a home where she can feel safe, adored, and pain-free for the rest of her life.

Duck is Ready to Celebrate – Let’s Make It His Forever Home! 🎉

Duck is the lovable pup you’ve been searching for! At 33 lbs, he’s much smaller than he appears in pictures, but his personality is huge! This affectionate, loyal, and playful boy is about to mark 1 year in rescue, but he’d much rather be celebrating in his forever home.

Why Duck Could Be Your Perfect Match:

🐾 Age: 7 years young – loves long walks, fetch, and outdoor adventures.
🐾 Size: Petite at 33 lbs with the cutest “big boy head!”
🐾 Personality: Affectionate cuddle bug (he will sleep right on top of you!), playful, and loyal.
🐾 Skills: Fully house-trained, crate-trained, and can be left alone for up to 8 hours.
🐾 Home Life: Thrives in both apartments and rural settings. Great with dogs (slow introductions needed) and children.
❌ No Cats: Duck prefers a cat-free home.

Duck’s foster describes him as an “overall wonderful companion” who’s happiest with cuddles, peanut butter treats, and a family to play with. He’s also a pro at bedtime, settling down around 9:30 like the sweet “old man” he is.

Duck has so much love to give and is ready to be the heart of your home. Could this cuddly couch potato be your next best friend?

Tis the season for giving ❤️

The need for donations in the dog rescue world is never ending. Daisy Bean Rescue currently has an upcoming neuter surgery and another dog that is in need of a leg amputation after being hit by a car (more information to come). The more donations we receive the better we can help the dogs currently in our care and help find them furever homes. Then we can move to take on more animals and make an even bigger impact.

Your donations give us the ability to keep saving lives! We appreciate you all and wish you merry holidays!

Meet Johnny – A Survivor with So Much Love to Give! 🐾

Johnny’s story is one of resilience and hope. This sweet 1-year-old pup was heartbreakingly abandoned on a busy road on 11/8/24. After two days of searching, a compassionate foster mom brought him to safety and began nursing him back to health.

Johnny was found at barely 30lbs with pressure sores on his hind, now 37lbs he is still gaining weight to reach a healthy 42 lbs and be ready for neutering. Despite his tough start in life, Johnny is a total lovebug who’s ready to find his forever family.

Why Johnny Could Be Your Perfect Companion

💙 Age: 1 year
💙 Health: Fully vetted, heartworm negative
💙 Temperament: Dog-social (lives with 9 other dogs), good with kids aged 9+
💙 Training: Crate-trained, no accidents in the house
💙 Adorable Traits: Affectionate, sweet, and so eager to please!

Johnny hasn’t been tested with cats or younger kids yet, but his loving personality shines bright. He’s been through so much but remains a gentle soul who’s ready for a family to call his own. He is currently with his foster outside Columbia SC but transport can be made to the greater Charlotte area.

🎄 Johnny’s Christmas Wish: A home filled with love where he can feel safe and cherished. Could that be with you?

Pup found in Park South Station neighborhood. No microchip and is currently in veterinary care. We will take into our rescue if owner is not found, but are hopeful someone is looking for this sweet baby!

Please send us or Allison Summey a DM if this is your pup. A series of questions must be answered correctly about them in order to return them to you.

Foster is already lined up if owner is not found after stray hold.

Oh, Duck. I don't know why or how you haven't found your forever.

Duck has been with us since January. Yes, almost a year. He is 6 years old, dog friendly, kid friendly, house trained, crate trained, well mannered, loves the outdoors as much as he loves to cuddle, healthy, up to date on everything........ a literal dream.

The first thing everyone says about Duck is that he is much smaller than they thought! He has a big boy noggin on a small boy body 😂

Duck joined our rescue when his owners had to enter a retirement facility. He has a lot of life left to live and just wants to find his FURever people.

Please help us find Duck's family by sharing this post. Let's get him home for the holidays!

FUNDS URGENTLY NEEDED BY TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!

Friends, we have taken in a number of new pups and urgently need funds to support their care, as well as to continue care for the community pups.

We are currently operating in the red. Literally. Our account is completely wiped and we have several outstanding bills.

Below are some of our recent intakes, expenses, and support needs:

1) A sweet, overbred pitty who is loved and owned by a displaced person. She is in desperate need of medical care. We anticipate her initial care will be $350 with more needs to come, as we are certain she will be HW+.

2) Our sassy senior Konan completed his dental surgery today! They had to pull 17!!! teeth! We are so grateful for the support we received for him already. Unfortunately, the surgery cost about $250 beyond the initial quote we fundraised toward. Konan has found his forever family in his fosters and we are so happy he has found the very best place for his golden years!

3) Meet Dyson! This sweet, 7 month old boy was found as a stray. He received his initial vet care and neuter today. Wildly, the appointment was not for neuter, but a wellness appointment. Yet, the vet just...did it??? Dealing with that (and the fact they didn't send him home with pain meds!). Butttt, we were not anticipating the costs associated with that surgery today. Cost: $400

4-5) Meet Moose! Moose is our most recent intake from an owner who passed away. He is about a year old and has no known vetting. He is a BIG. BOY. His first vet appointment is tomorrow and we DESPERATELY need to raise funds before they see him! We also anticipate that he is HW+ as the other dog he was found with tested positive and they were living outside together. He will be very expensive, but oh so worth it! Estimated total vetting costs for him: $2000

Please consider making a tax deductible donation. We can't do this without and every dollar TRULY makes such a difference!
