10 Things Your Dog Would Tell You....

1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful: remember that before you get me.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me- it is crucial to my well being.

4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.

5. You have your work, your entertainment,and your friends. I only have you.

6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understands your words, I understand your voice when it is speaking to me.

7. Be aware that how ever you treat me, I will never forget.

8. Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you.

9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative,obstinate,or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out too long, or my heart is getting to old and weak.

10. Take care of me when I get old; you too will grow old. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say: "I cannot bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there, even my death.

Afghan war veteran looking for missing service dog

A wounded soldier who returned home from Afghanistan is searching for his service dog. PFC Jeremy Young just went through extensive rehab and received a hero's welcome on Saturday. And now many are reaching out to help find his dog, Rusty.

When you watch the Oscars this year, pay close attention to the Animated Short Film category. It's rare that you ever see these nominated animated shorts, but today is your lucky day!

Adam and Dog has been nominated for an Oscar, and I hope that it wins!

This is a beautiful hand animated watercolor short, created by Minkyu Lee. He also worked on Disney’s The Princess and the Frog, and Wreck-It Ralph. This is his first project alone! 16 minutes that I hope you will enjoy, which took 2 years and $25,000 of Minkyu's own savings.

What a great and sweet imagination, Minkyu has of man and dog's first meeting!

AS OF TUESDAY , DEC 4, A BILL HAS BEEN PASSED BY THE US HOUSE AND SENATE THAT DECLARES THAT OUR MILITARY WORKING DOGS OF ALL BREEDS WILL NO LONGER BE CLASSIFIED AS "MILITARY EQUIPMENT" TO BE LEFT BEHIND IN FOREIGN LANDS...BUT AS MILITARY VETERANS. THESE DOGS NOW WILL BE RETURNING TO LACKLAND AFB , FOR THEIR SERVICES AS US HEROES. THEY WILL BE EVALUATED, AND RETRAINED AND RE-HOMED IF NEEDED.

The Michigan Humane Society got an interesting call the other day. Usually when there’s a call about an animal in a tree, it’s for a cat. This time though a puppy was found living in a tree on the west side of Detroit.
