Good morning! I just wanted to provide my clients a status update for all painting requests and paintings in the works. My dad is in end stages of COPD and heart failure and I have been focusing 100% on him and his care.
Thank you for your continued patience and we appreciate all thoughts and prayers for his comfort.

It has been a quite a while since I have posted updates on my page so I want to take the time to apologize to my clients for the amount of time it has taken and still taking me to complete your paintings.
The past year and a half have been filled with major life events. I have gone throught a divorce, moved to a different city, sold/bought home, my mom had a stroke, my dogs have gotten into some major scuffles with one another, my dad was hospitalized, work has been stressful, and this past week my beautiful mother passed away unexpectedly. Although she had a stroke, she was getting better. They ultimately declared she died of cardiac arrest. We buried her last Monday and we all are still in disbelief. My poor dad is grieving something terrible for her and we are trying to spend as much time possible with him now.
Needless to say, my pet portrait business has suffered (really my clients and the homeless animals I donate to are the ones that have been impacted).
For clients I still owe paintings, thank you for your extended patience as I know it has probably been frustrating not getting your paintings as I have promised. For potential clients that I have not responded to, please email me if you are still interested and I will do my best to get back to you.
Thank you all, again, for understanding. Feel free to follow up if you would like.

This is the project I am working on now. These little ones are pets at Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Animal Care and Control and I had the privilege of getting to spend time with them taking their photos. Sadly, a few days later Russ was put to sleep. He was an old man who lived a very long and happy life at CMPD and was loved by all there. He had lots of health problems and the vets there were no longer able to manage his pain. I knew I would be making paintings of these two but had no idea one painting would be a remembrance. One of the paintings is in process and i will post photos once I am done.

Thanks to clients like you, I have become a foster failure! This is wonderful news! Ben, who was my foster dog that I rescued from a shelter in SC, is now officially in his forever home! That forever home is with me! He has had thousands of dollars worth of medical bills and because I use proceeds from my paintings to help dogs like these (homeless), he is now safe and in process of getting healthy! I am able to pay for those expenses through my paintings that you purchased! Never in a million years would I have dreamed of fostering and never in a million more years would I have dreamed of fostering and adopting a pit bull breed. But somehow, someway, everything just happened and I fostered, and now I am now the forever guardian of a sweet boy, a pit bull breed that (although not confirmed) was used in dog fighting during his life before his rescue. The deep and many scars on his little body tell his story but he hasn't let his past determine his future. He loves! He smiles! He plays! He is a living creature that deserved a second chance! And he is loved very much! If you haven't considered fostering or adopting a pit bull breed....reconsider! I have been fortunate to have met many wonderful folks and doggies through the American Pit Bull Foundation. Some of the sweetest and smartest dogs I have ever met! Many are looking for forever homes.

Paintings in the works. I apologize to all my clients that I have had to push back deliverable dates but appreciate your patience as I have had quite a few life events pop up that have taken me away from my painting schedule. I should be back on track here soon. Thank you all for your continued support to help my cause of helping homeless animals in need. :)

Ben is enjoying getting access to the whole house today while his foster brother is in doggie day care. Although Ben has tons of toys and several beds himself including his own chaise, he is enjoying playing with all of Tango's toys, bones and laying in all his beds. Not sure Tango is going to be too happy about this when he gets home! " Who's been sleeping in my bed?"

Remember- Ben is available for adoption. He is just one example of where my clients monies are going when they purchase a custom pet portrait from me.

Check out Ben's very on page and help spread the word of this sweet boy who is looking for his forever home!

No, You Will Not Be Meeting My Dog…. The conversation usually goes something like this:  “Can I meet him?” “No, he’s going to stay in his crate” . . . “But I feel bad that he’s in his crate” “Don’t. He’s perfectly happy there” . . .  “Is he aggressive?” “No, he’s nervous with new people” . . . “Does…
