The new year is the perfect time to help a shelter pet in need! With 50 new dogs intaked over the past three days and 54 more returning from staycations between now and Tuesday, we’re calling on YOU to give them a break from the kennel.

What’s a Staycation?
🐾 A short-term foster for 5 days, giving a shelter dog a chance to relax in a home.
🐾 Love it? You can extend the staycation or transition into fostering with a simple application!

How to Start:
✔️ Bring yourself and your ID to the shelter.
✔️ Pick your new best friend.
✔️ Enjoy 5 days of love, cuddles, and joy—just in time for the new year!

🎆 Keep Your Pets Safe This New Year’s Eve! 🐾

While we’re celebrating, our furry friends might be feeling scared or overwhelmed. Here’s how to keep them safe and comfortable:

🐶 Keep Pets Indoors: Fireworks can be loud and frightening. Set up a quiet, cozy space inside.
🎵 Mask Loud Noises: Play soft music or turn on the TV to calm their nerves.
🎉 Avoid Party Hazards: Keep alcohol, chocolate, and decorations out of reach.
🔐 Check ID Tags: Ensure your pets have updated tags in case they get spooked and run.
🚪 Secure Doors & Windows: Loud noises might make pets bolt unexpectedly.

🐾 Bonus Tip: Take dogs for a walk early in the evening before the fireworks begin!

Meet our receptionist Millie🍬 Millie is
married with two adult kids and one amazing grandson! She has a Shih tzu and a granddog that's a Golden doodle(that Anna keeps cute) She is the newest to the pet pause crew, and is here to check in/out fur babies and give them a few belly rubs. She helps our day to day run very smoothly and we are so thankful to have her!
