As cute as they may seem hopping around in Easter baskets, rabbits are living beings, not just seasonal accessories. They require specialized care, love, and attention for their entire lives - which can be 10+ years!

This Easter, let’s remember that a bunny is a FAMILY member, not a trend or novelty gift. Unfortunately, many rabbits bought as Easter gifts are later abandoned, neglected, or abused when the novelty wears off.

If you are thinking about adding a rabbit to your home, make sure you are ready for the responsibility and commitment that comes with them.

Magpie!

Magpie is a super friendly and adventurous young bunny! He loves nothing more than to hop around excitedly and explore new places in his foster home, and when he is tired, he will stretch out under the bed and take a much needed nap. All the activity builds up quite the appetite and he absolutely loves his food (hay, pellets, lettuce…). Magpie eagerly greets you when you come into the room and loves to be picked up for snuggles too. He’s an adorable little bunny that will make a great addition to any family - he is good with kids (although loud noises still make him a bit nervous) and is getting used to cats.

Alaska!

Male, 3 months old

Alaska is a handsome and sweet young bunny who may be cautious at first but once he trusts you, he’ll melt your heart! He loves to lounge in his tunnel with his back legs stretched all the way out. When he’s out of his enclosure, Alaska gets the zoomies and dashes between all of his favorite spots before sidling up to you for some affection and head rubs. Although his foster family has young children, he may prefer a slightly quieter home (perhaps with older children) where he can confidently show off his full personality.
