Consulting, Handling, Training, Selection and Sales for all your K9 needs

A little about Brandy:
I grew up in family that rehabilitated and trained dogs for hobbies and worked in Animal Shelters. My grandmother was a K9 Handler and my mother was active in Dog Shows and Schutzhund dogs. I have been training/rehabilitating shelter dogs/active in rescue and competing since 2000. Working with dogs f

rom all backgrounds, all breeds, and all issues from fear to aggression, from over stimulated to zero stimulation. I have experience in training unique and individualized behaviors. I pride myself in the ability to problem solve. I never use one method as I think every dog and handler are unique. The handler's comfort level, physical abilities, and temperament are just as important parts as the dogs'. I work towards the handler's goals and will adjust techniques as we learn what works best for both. My tool box is huge so I welcome challenges. If its something I have never seen then I do my research and work conservatively. I also like to really find the true causes for the behaviors from both Handler and dog to resolve them at the root cause then treat the symptoms. My specialty is Dobermans as I have spent a good 10 yrs researching everything I can about them from where they come from and why they are here to what they have become today. I know bloodlines and drives and own them myself. They are a very different working breed and many of their traits can be rooted to their purpose for creation. However, I never blanket coat and have seen my fair share of Dobermans that don't act like Dobermans. Therefore, I approach every new dog and handler like a new problem to solve. I have attended seminars and studied many trainers from various disciplines. I have vast knowledge of canine behavior and body language. Understanding canine and human psychology along with the ability to apply this knowledge to resolve conflicts and apply to creating new behaviors is a skillset I have and continue to grow. I have been privileged to train with SAR/HRD groups, World competitive IPO trainers, nationally recognized pet dog trainers and behaviorists. I strive to continue learning through every experience and seeking out answers as much as possible to provide my clients as much knowledge as possible to help them accomplish their goals. Please let me know if I sound like a good fit for you. If not please tell me what your looking for as I have plenty of connections to help you find what you need.

Love her analogies. Its sooo true!

Retraining a more appropriate outcome for many issues that plague this extremely intelligent breed is no small feat.

Consistency is key and it starts from day one.

Working on straightening Nya's front position using fun behaviors that move her out of correct position and back in.

This also helps keep her brain and feet moving so she doesn't have time to overthink and get anxious. (Lack of vocalizations is her sign for active thinking)

Our Story

A little about Brandy: I grew up in family that rehabilitated and trained dogs. My grandmother was a Police K9 Handler, my mother was active in Dog Shows and Schutzhund dogs while working in a n animal shelter. This truly sparked my passion with animals. I had the unique advantage of assisting my mother in her multiple endeavors and have never stopped. I have been training/rehabilitating shelter dogs/rescues since I was 13yrs of age. Working with dogs from all backgrounds, all breeds, and all issues from fear to aggression, from over stimulated to zero stimulation.

After developing a love for dobermans, I became an integral part of the local breed rescue as a professional behavioral evaluator and consultant for going on 7yrs. Due to my interactions with various medical cases along the way, I have been fortunate to have garnered tons of experience in medical rehabilitation and consulting in nutrition, exercise and basic health.

My passions and love for everything dog, drove me to pursue titling in AKC and Schutzhund/IPO/IGP. I also find myself always trying and learning new techniques and styles from all disciplines from lure coursing, agility, carting, barn hunt, earthdog, flyball, dock diving, to hunting dogs,Search and Rescue, and everything in between and beyond. My day to day and life is centered around my dogs. I love sharing my knowledge with others and learning new things. My Training Styles:

I never use one method as I think every dog and handler are unique. The handler's comfort level, physical abilities, and temperament are just as important factors as the dogs'. I have spent many hours researching and learning theory from modern psychology and other trainers. I am open to any tool that helps promote a healthy, safe and mutually benefiting relationship between dog and handler.
